More reasons to hate cops

i know what you mean, but the skateboarding example is somewhat stupid.

I know the age demographics on here skew opinions, but you need to realize that when you are past 16 years old, skaters can be a huge pain in the ass.

I have no problem with probably 98% of skaters (wow, look! I didn't take the actions of a few and apply it to them all!) but some are just a pain in the ass to deal with.

hit that spot, just have some respect while doing it. When you blindly plow into some lady walking to work don't tell her to fuck off, stuff like that.
 
At the moment i rather appreciate the fine men and women who vow to rid the world of villains. My last cop encounter was due to me speeding on the highway Going 140 in a 100 zone (km/h) and the kind gentleman that pulled me over was very generous and left me with a warning ticket. A ticket which would have other wise costed around $200.

my last encounter with the police I was 16 in my mom's new car facing $800-900 worth of fines and losing my license.

they let me off with a phone call home.

I feel like cops in america are a little different though. 70% bullied high school kids looking to get a power trip and an easy well paying job at the same time.
 
What part of being cop is easy? The paperwork? Gun fights? dealing with the absolute bottom of the barrel scum Americans? Have you ever dealt with those people? They fucking suck.

Not all cops kill people or beat them down in the street. But pretty much all of them get a fucked rating in my book.
 
as much as police tend to annoy people and just generally piss them off we need them as a society if they weren't here things would be completely fucked cause nobody would do anything to stop crimes our whole country would turn into hobo with a shotgun without police so even though they might pull you over take your weed then give you a ticket that's not nearly as bad as if there were no police to keep people just strait robbing you in broad daylight

That doesn't justify it though. IT will never be perfect, but there's a lot of shit that could be changed to make things better. I think that should be a much more important goal than it seems to be.
 
It's almost like we should have this group of people who's job it is to protect you and your rights and make sure bad people don't hurt you. Oh wait....
 
The problem is shit head kids sit on the Internet and only see videos of cops acting wrong. Nobody puts up videos of cops doing their job because it's boring to watch. Thus a lot of kids develop the 'fuck tha police' mindset.
 
Yes and no. There are a lot of people that develop the fuck the police mindset for the wrong reasons, and I hear you there. At the same time there are plenty of problems that make it pretty easy to end up in that area.

My opinions are based more off of actual encounters with police officers around the US. "Protect and serve" is a joke. We should go back to the old school sheriff approach. The guys that know the people in the community, help out, and don't ticket or bust everyone just because they can. Sometimes people realize there mistakes and don't need 17 tickets.

This whole, look for any reason to ticket anyone thing is fucking ridiculous. All the supposed "safety campaigns" this weekend. I'm sure safety is really their prime concern and not $$$$. Well of course they probably even tell themselves it's for safety. Obviously they're the good guys.

Ruining peoples lives over drugs? That's pretty cool too. People who were working their asses off at REAL jobs or going to school trying to get an education. But I forgot, "it's just the cops doing there job" so who can really fault them.

Do you honestly feel safer with a cop car behind you? I sure as fuck don't.
 
I can't sleep. But seriously there was a point if I could have gotten it out.

Cops fuck people over. Even the small stuff shouldn't be over looked. They sure as hell aren't spending nearly as much time helping people as they like to pretend.

Also with cops. You don't do shit, get hit with assaulting an officer. A cop can pretty much kill you, and you can't really do shit about it. And even if a cop obviously did something, maybe they'll get suspended or fired if they did something really bad. They just aren't held accountable. There's no check.

it absolutely blows my mind how people still want to be smart asses about the law when a cop is just doing his job, especially in a situation like this where the cop wasn't being out of hand at all.
 
I wouldn't call it terrible. Certainly not the best compared to some of the things I have seen him post. While it seems that most cops are just out to ruin your day, I sure would be thankful if there was one around if I were about to get robbed and they can stop it.

"Fuck the police" is stupid. "Fuck certain police" is what we should be shouting.
 
Earlier in the thread I said something about that because somebody brought up the "everybody hate cops but then when bad stuff happens you need cops so everybody is dumb".

Idk, we just need a massive overhaul. It would be nice to see some checks in place and some accountability. Also would be nice to see some changes in laws.

I don't see any of that happening within the next 20 years if ever. Honestly it'll prolly just keep getting worse. Oh well
 
It seems most things in our American systems need a massive overhaul, but that's probably for another thread. Most of the thread was "tl;dr."
 
seeing how this turned into /rants so fast id just like to say fuck that guy who hit him, that kid could have been killed, what a fucking douche bag of a cop. he couldve at least asked questions or something first, i hope his ass gets fired and put in jail for fucking assault.
 
Does OP realize how fucked our country would be if there were no police officers? OP is clearly ignorant and has no clue whats going on in the world outside himself. Generalizing cops is played, give it a rest. You suck, got in trouble, and blame police for it. Grow up.
 
Dear you, realize you dont even know who i am. Realize that i'm 24 years old. realize that when i was 18 and 19 i made a bad decision and sold drugs.... lots of drugs... When my house was raided (without a warrant) because i was busted selling 50 pills of ecstasy in a parking lot near my house. After they raided my house, they took over 10,000 dollars of drug money, but guess what? my discovery reported that they only took 3,000.. Fast forward 4 years. I've done my time, paid my fines, etc. Somebody tries to rob me at gunpoint at my house, so i get a gun and start shooting. And now i'm facing jail time for shooting IN MY OWN HOUSE when i didn't violate any order set fourth against me by the courts...

Wanna call me a liar? go pay the 35 bucks to do a background check on me then . my name is Evan Lee Moore.

You know two cops who most likely work a beat in the suburbs, where the biggest crime is dumbshit kids like you who throw "house parties" with 15 people and sell weed to other dumbshit kids in back of your high school. Assuming that all cops do the same thing is asinine. Of course it's not as crazy as TV makes it out to be, but cops who actually work in big cities/high crime areas do a little more than sit on their ass and eat donuts all day, "chief."
 
do you know how many older generation skiers probably hate anyone with twin tips/baggy clothes? They generalize anyone wearing that stuff who's strapped to a pair of free skis to be immature, arrogant assholes; all because of a few bad experiences with that "type" of skier. And if you tell me people don't do this you must live under a rock. I can see this being the main reason for people hating cops, other than rap songs, the media, and just being a teenager. Are there bad cops? Yes. Are there bad skiers? Yes. Are there bad doctors? Yes. Does a handful of any of these groups make the whole group bad? no.

It may be generalizing to an extent, but it's like an iceberg. We here about the cops that get out of hand and abuse their power, but we all know that there are more cops out there that abuse their power, except they don't get caught on camera, or reported because people are afraid of the repercussions.
 
Yes my friends dad used to be a cop in my home town then he moved to NYC, and I talked to him about the difference. so who is telling you your information about police in the city?
