More reasons to hate cops

yeah, but the difference between your generalization and mine: I'm right.

The majority of cops don't usually get into violent situations, it's a fact. I listed sources because it's better than going on nothing, like most of the posts on this thread.

you must not have a lot of friends, you seem like a huge downer.

it's a fair assumption that I think a lot of people would agree with. all you do on this website is hate on other peoples posts. do you ever like, go outside and have fun?

Won't let me quote ar6 but, again you are incorect. you know 2 cops woopied fucking doo i believe is what you said. as I'm sure you know most of the time cops in the city deal with damage reports, graffiti and people who assaulted/shot someone or robbed a place and have already ran away. o and lets not forget standing and watching a city event.

if i remember correctly from getting an associates in administrative justice, the national average for a peace officer actually using their firearm is around 2%. i dont know if that includes every single "peace officer" agency(such as fish and game), and the whole works but yes the trend is generally low.

however just because a cop didnt have to fire a round at an armed suspect today doesnt mean that their job is easy or safe. dip shit.

Every single time I've seen you post on this website, it's been completely negative and bashing either someone's opinion or belief.

This leads be to believe that you're probably someone who doesn't have a lot going for them in real life, and takes it out on the internet.

you may want to visit this thread.

Cops are fucking idiots. Who becomes a cop when there is so many more options and opportunities in life? Fucking power trippin bitches.

When kids start having some fucking common sense.

Ahem...sorry, what I meant to say was, "fucking pigs man fuck the police they stole my weed it was worth like 22 dollars man then they took my piece but i was like yo fuck you pig that's a tobacco pipe i aint got no weed fuck you man this is assault my white, middle-upper class parents are going to sue your ass bitch."

Dude I totally just realize how silly everything I say sounds! because it's not coming from your mouth!

ALL HAIL AR6 RIDER! SMARTEST PERSON ON THE INTERNET!

I have more education then you and all fucking traffic cops. I also possess a skill that is very high in demand. I am not "stupid". I make a lot of $$$$$ and I don't really care what your cop loving bitch ass thinks. Get off Newschoolers and go do something with your life.

NOOOO PLEASE!

tell me how I can be like you? what school did you go to I want to move there.

teach me how to know everything!

I just deleted my facebook and texted all my friends telling them I don't need them anymore because I am going to be a pro on nsg like ar6rider.

am I off to a good start?

please tell me I did good!?

10/10 by the way!

also can you give me the numbers of your uncle + cousin?

I think it would be real neat-o if they could tell me stories about all the people they kill and drug rings they bust every day!

I dont give a fuck about my grammar. Instrumentation and control engineer bitch. Grammar does not mean shit in my line of work. Again, get off newschoolers and go do something with your life.

Thanks for reminding me! I totally forgot I mentioned that in this thread. I actually don't have their numbers, but I'm sure I can get you in touch.

I definitely have to agree with AR6rider on this one. There's a lot of generalizing in this thread, albeit on both sides, but a lot from the standpoint of "I've had run-ins with a couple cops where they gave me an unfair ticket or showed some sort of corruption/inconsistencies when filing reports, so they're all huge douchbags and I hate them all." I have met a lot of mean cops, and a lot of really nice cops who were super cool. That's the way it is with any profession. There are shitty people and good people in any situation that you will get into. I've met many shitty parents that I didn't like. Does that mean that I should hate my own parents and everyone else who has kids because of it? No that would be rediculous. If anything, the police deserve a lot of our respect just for being police. It's their job to uphold the law, which is put in place to protect us. Sure some cops are overly strict about the laws they enforce, or enforce laws that you don't personally agree with, but that's no reason to hate them. There job is to protect us, and to deal with the shitty people who are fucking up society for the rest of us. If there weren't police, who would bust into the house of the people cooking meth next door? Sure you can make the argument that most police never have to get their hands dirty or use their guns, and most cops just do paperwork and write tickets all day, but the fact of the matter is, even though the majority of what the job involves is mellow paperwork/writing speeding tickets, cops still have to face the possibility that they could get shot or stabbed every day they go on the job and that itself is commendable. Of the thousands of tickets cops write to people, they never know which ones are going to result in gunfights or getting attacked, but they still do their job every day. Just taking the job of being a cop is honorable; their job is protecting society. Of course there are always the people who take the job to get to order people around and carry a gun, but again, those are the shitty ones and even the shitty ones have the possibility of getting shot at on the job, and it isn't constructive to judge a group of people looking to help you by the shitty members you don't like. /end rant.
Cheers,
-Isak

shut the fuck up. just shut the fuck up. you can use google to look up a professional sounding profession. nice one. most people with such high up professions don't give two shits about a random skiing forum, dissing cops then bragging about their "job".

average salary for that line of work is around 75k a year. good for you, but get off your high horse. I know cops that make more. Not to mention the term "education" is subjective

Not on a high horse. Proud of the work I have done to get here...Yes. And you are right the term education is subjective. And to whoever said I looked up my profession on google...I probably would of picked a lot better career if I was just making it up. And even if i was damn neurosurgeon I would still come on here and express my opinions in a thread on cops.

As you should be. You just sounded super pretentious when you first said what you did for a living. And the education you have from textbooks in a masters degree program isn't any better/worse than the education a seasoned cop has when looking at the body language of a possible kidnapper. Education is subjective, no one can be good at everything. Exactly why we need engineers, cops, doctors, lawyers, plumbers, etc.

As a child protection worker, I also face the possibility of being stabbed or shot on a daily basis, but I don't get to carry a gun.

I work with cops on an almost daily basis. Some are awesome and go out of their way to help. They go out of their way to help us and are awesome with the general public. Other cops are dicks, both to us and the general public. Either way, a little bit of respect goes a long way.

Maybe you got screwed over. Suck it up. It happens. Teachers, bosses, family, friends, cops, etc. Deal with it and move on.

you sound like you're 12 years old. seriously. this is the most immature response i've seen in this whole thread

if you don't like his posts, why continue to argue with him? i don't get it

I've always had just fine encounters with cops. Every one I've met has been nice and courteous, did their job, and there wasn't any power trip bullshit to go along with it. Sure there are a select few who do power trip, but for the most part, don't be a fuckin idiot, don't be fuckin stupid, and you won't get fucked over.

i've been harassed, beaten, tazed, and had my head jumped on by cops for nothing, literally nothing, on multiple separate occasions, and every time i've threatened to take legal action they have changed their tune and treated me really nicely and driven me home and given me their cards (which i immediately threw in my trash can) and told me to call them if if i ever need help. basically they're a bunch of pricks and bullies and they're mad at the world, but they know when they've crossed the line, even if punishment for a cop who murders someone is just a paid vacation and their name in the paper. i really hate cops but i hate a lot of other people too so it's whatever. they're no worse than half the shitheads i and they encounter every day but they carry guns and they back each other up, so you gotta be a little nicer to them when they decide to fuck with you. fuck the police and fuck the world.

sorry for dub post, but i also just remembered i did meet two nice cops one night in a small mining town, who let everyone be drunk and rambunctious in public, but that was probably just because they were severely outnumbered by drunk people who also had guns.

this reminds me, a friend of mine and i got pulled over at a checkstop one night after smoking some pot, and when they couldn't find any pot (we'd already smoked it all) they straight up stole $500 in cash from his car because they couldn't charge us with anything and we couldn't stop them. he was pissed off, to say the least, and i told him we should go down to the station and try to do something about it but i guess he didn't want to go through the trouble.

there are plenty of shitty corrupt cops who abuse their power. there is cops planting evidence, illegally acquiring evidence, lieing in court, stealing, extortion but you cant just hate EVERY cop because of that. There are also plenty of good ones who go to work and do their job to keep people safe and respect the law.

Story time - I was being pushed out of a packed night club

because the promoters had over sold the show when the police / fire dept.

showed up to shut it down. The bouncer pushed me right into a nervous looking

cop who then turned to me thinking I bumped into him on purpose. He then

punched me in the face, threw me into the ground and then put his knee on the

back of my head pushing my skull into the pavement. I was arrested and told I

was being charged with assaulting a police officer.

So, I got beat up for nothing and then was charged with assaulting a police

officer, a criminal offence that cost me thousands of dollars to get out of. I

did nothing wrong, I was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. The cop

was young, new to the force and never got in any trouble for this. On top of

all that there were written statements from other police at the scene saying

that I was the one who threw the punch starting it all, even though the cop

himself said that I only bumped into him.

If you have full faith in the police I suggest you rethink your attitude

towards them. Don't let your guard down as they will fuck you over any chance

they get. Cops will always look like the guy who "was just doing his

job" where you look like the crazy asshole who was breaking the law. Western

society has turned into a police state, you can't deny that.

also it's important to tkeep in mind that the cop stories that make it to the news are ones that involve some kind of police brutality. rarely ever do you see a story involving a police story shedding positive light. it's expected that they do good, it's unexpected that they commit "brutalities" so the few that do those acts force the good ones to succumb to a negative stereotype.

it's unfair that a bunch of teenagers on here bitch about civil service workers.
