Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax burden

on Americans, and then calculates the “Tax Freedom Day'. This is the day after

which the money you earn goes to you, not the

government.

This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been

since 1991. Its latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000. Notice

anything special about those dates?

Recently, John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans are actually

paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts. He gave no explanation

and provided no data for this claim.

Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy men.

Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth

several million dollars. (His ski resort home in Idaho is an old barn brought

over from Europe in pieces. Not your average A-frame).

Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; Kerry paid $90,000. Does that sound

right? The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has figured out a way to

avoid paying his own.

Although some of it brings up a good point, the fact is that most of those situations cant really be put in the same sentence and so it doesnt hold water. Criticism has gotten more potent over the last 5 years or so though.

Bosnia was a fuckin disater when we went in, in sarajevo alone the serbs were just lobbing in morter shells and killing civilians, they were even targeting children. When we went into Iraq it wasn't nearly anything like that.

I don't give a shit about the rest of the claims, just this one. Clinton had three chances to capture Bin Laden and he chose not to. What the fuck? It pisses me off when you say that a man who had public enemy no. in his hand on three occasions and let him go is a great president. Yes he was charismatic and he was a excellent orator, but he was a poor president. Really, Clinton had a chance to stop 9/11 and failed to do so, that is just sad that yall think of him as a good leader and president.

all I'm saying is that people become more of a threat over time. at the time this pic was taken, obviously the US and Saddam were on different terms. Although this was further back then the clinton era, we were still on somewhat different terms with bin laden. 9/11 hadn't happened, and he wasn't the number on threat in the world. It's like the guy who COULD'VE shot Hitler in the first world war but didn't, becuase he went for a higher ranking official.
