More chem. this time, it's riddles.

here's the deal. we get extra credit in chem if we do a certain assignment handed out by the teacher (extra credit in 11th grade? and we get warnings when we don't raise our hands to talk...). These four riddles are of certain elements on the periodic table. If anyone could figure one or more out and back up their answer, it would be a huge help to me because I'm in need of a little E.C.

1) Most copious of elements, ethereal art I,

In stars am fused, as man doth try,

Spark me in air and feel a peal of thunder,

Apply then a current and see the product sunder

We're 99% sure that is Hydrogen.

2) Of I and tired tatting, Joe Kesselring did write,

Kill, save, or preserve, when applied, I just might,

Black, yellow, and gray_colored forms I may take,

Avoidance is futile, for in all foods I wait.

We believe this is Sodium (Na).

3) Luna in my name, lunacy in a weed,

A diet with me is what you all need.

But ingest too much, fetid from all pores,

Light up my life and I will electrify yours.

This may be Iron (Fe).

4) Candy on the tongue, blanket in the lung,

Prized may be the ore from which it is wrung.

The only light metal that is difficult to melt,

The Wizard's city, in part, from it was built.

We think this is Carbon.

Please don't post something like "do it yourself you fag" or gay shit like that. If you have time, try to answer one and help me and some kids out.

arsenic isn't in all foods, but salt (NaCl) is. And think arsenic isn't an element, It's a compound

Hydrogen and Arsenic are right, but iron and carbon are wrong. Anyone else got any other ideas?

Why don't you just pop the riddles into google word for word? Im sure the teacher didnt make them up so they gotta be floating around the internet somewhere.

tungsten is wrong dude, thats an easy metal to melt, theres nothing precious that you can refine from it, and you dont eat candy made of it. silicon is def in shock tarts, so thats why it wins

Tungsten is easy to melt?? It has the highest melting point of any metal, google it.

SO i will explain my genius. Iron is in old style ink so tatting = Tatooing... and joe K used it to write...Iron oxidises(spelling) to make those 3 color's. You need iron in your body or you have uhh iron deficiancy disorder and iron is in food... you can thank me we once you figure out im right and the rest of you are all wrong .. Booya

the first is hydrogen for sure. the rest are probably correct by your guesses but dont take my word for it.
