Mopeds??

So I'm planning on getting a moped next fall to get around SLC and shit and was wondering if anyone here has dope mopeds and could suggest what to get, or if anyone has one they'd be looking to sell. I'm trying to spend as little money as possible obviously, but also dont want some piece of shit that I'll have to keep paying to fix... eh? as for buying one I live in MA so I'd want to pick one up in MA or in UT. Or possible anywhere in between I guess since I'll be driving out to school...
 
craigslist. do not buy a new one, whatever you do. I bought mine new for 1500, which was retarded because I could have gotten a nicer one on CL for 800, barely even used.

obviously check the thing out before you buy it. mopeds are difficult for normal mechanics to fix. brand name isnt that important.

buying a moped is one of the smartest things you can do in college. you can park them anywhere, including grass and sidewalks at my campus. you can drive drunk completely guilt free, since the only life you are endangering is your own. also no cops will ever pull you over as long as you are wearing a helmet. i used to drive mine on the sidewalk when there was traffic, run stop signs, all in front of police. and of course the gas mileage is amazing
 
word. craigslist didn't have much here in SLC, guess I should check out boston too though. what brand is yours? cause I've seen some no name brand stuff on ebay and through google but it looks pretty cheap.

mine was an eton. never heard of the company, bought it from the local motorcycle dealer. it worked fine.
 
Brand matters... you don't want anything shitty that needs to be fixed every week. And you should tune it, makes it soo much more fun !!
 
try to get a used ruckus. big and smooth. awesome gas mileage. could find it relatively cheap
