Montana State vs Univ. Montana

UM has like no skiing, there are a couple shitty little places within an hour and the only decent place is Lost Trail and its about hour and a half or two hours away. If you want to ski, go to MSU. UM is definitely a better college for partying and such though and missoula way chill but so is bozeman,

I went to visit a friend at UM 2 years ago and rode snobowl and thought it was amazing! Although at the time they had recieved 2 feet freshday/night before I arrived which probably gives me a false sense of what its really like, but I had an awesome time there, really fun tree ridin'. Lifts are slow as balls though. Also, best homemade pot pies in the tiny ass lodge at the base, that shit was the ultimate hangover cure plus its like a 30 min. drive from campus.
 
MSU has better skiing access by far I think

U of M is decent, gonna need a car to drive around to ski areas. Snowbowl is pretty fun though with good snow, lifts are slow as fuck like guy above said. Wayyyyy better parties in Missoula. Downtown is fucking crazy on just about all nights. Cheap beer. Check out the Top Hat on wednesday for 5$ all u can drink tap beer (amazing)

U of M has a pretty big environmental/resources program though for sure.

But yea, look in the regional Montana forums, topic has been discussed quite a bit
