Montana State Bozeman or U of Utah?

So basically, I have to decide where to spend the next 4 years of my life.

Thoughts?
 
Engineering=Montana State University

Powder=Utah

Basically, its all about what you want to study, if its engineering or math/sciences go to MSU, others stuff, i'd look at utah.
 
utah for sure...ive been to both...i think that utah has better skiing..except there are a lot of mormons..bozeman is kinda a hick town but i like it...but i think that you cant beat alta and snowbird
 
I have gone and visited both, skied at Big Sky and Bridger in Montana and PCMR in Utah.
 
Salt Lake would be a much better city than Bozeman, plus you have a top 3 park resort and pow everywhere. and urban railz
 
Don't come to Bozeman, it sucks here! I was ridin' my hoss into town to get some chaw the other day and some young gun up and pulled his six shooter on me!

But on a more serious note, Bozeman's a pretty cool place. We had a lot of waist to chest deep days this year, Big Sky got over 500" on the upper mountain, and in the summer there's sweet mountain biking and fly fishing. It's definitely more of a yuppy town than a hick town though, just to warn you in advance.
 
yeah, you shouldn't come to Utah either, there are all sorts of crazy mormons and the beer is basically like water. Plus the skiing isn't nearly as good as everyone says, I mean getting 500-600" everyear isn't everything right?
 
In Montany you'll get mauled by Hicks. In Utah you'll get mauled by mormons.

So either way, you're fucked.
 
jesus this thread is full of misinformation. UT has excelling math/sciences departments with significantly more funding than MSU. We're talking rolltop desks vs atomic force microscopes kind of funding differences. And we have the dizzo bomb chron.

So those are the facts. My advice is to go to MSU and stay away from UT. There's no good snow here. It's all in MT. (not that I'm perpetuating misinformation or anything)
 
and the watered down beer. while it may hydrate you better than full count beer, when you go home your friends will laugh and call you awful names like two beer queer. I don't want you to have to go through that.

Now in Montana, expect to thoroughly exercise you liver on a regular basis with full count man beer.
 
Reno is an ugly city in an ugly area, and they don't have my major. I don't think I could live there even if they had my major.
 
yo homie, read this, montana is sick. its really not that hick. the powder and park is good at big sky, just look at the resort guide in free skier. plus, utah has lift lines, montana has a couple people on the deep days. and mountain biking at big sky in the summer is sick. take my advice, its the way to go.
 
I have to agree Bozeman is getting yuppier and yuppier. but hey i know I can hang. I dont know about everyone else though
 
people make it seem like the mormons are such a big deal.

none of those people have been to utah.

if you've been to utah you'd know the mormons dont do shit, the girls are hot, and the skiing is the shit.

fuck and park city resort. head the the cottonwoods.

cant speak for bozeman.
 
SLC can't be beat for a city mixed with epic skiing very close by. There's a lot to do here. Mormon thing isn't bad at all. If it starts to get to me, I retreat to the mountains... That's about all I need to not care at all about it for a few weeks.

most correct info so far on the subjects of mormons, girls, and skiing in utah. if you dont mind driving - utah state university is 1 1/2 hour north of slc and has a killer graphic design program. i graduated from there in the graphic design program. head professor is the coolest and the program offers alot more freedom to specialize your classes to your design interests. i came home to slc to ski every weekend and every good pow day. if i missed class - the professor knew i was skiing and was cool with it as long as i got my projects in when it was time.

however, maybe you wouldn't like it here and should just go to bozeman.
 
yah utah is terrible, the weed sucks, girls are all ugly, mormons are everywhere, and it never snows...I don't know why I am living here...
 
bigsky/moonlight basin is the biggest resort in north america now. im probably going to MSU, but i myself am a native montanan. tough choice though
 
wow...this is totally a diss the mormons thread. My best friend is mormon and he's not that bad, except he doesn't do anything that affects his brain and he doesn't swear.

UT sounds good though.
 
haha...cause the way a city looks has everything to do with how fun it is, especially the tahoe area...ugly as fuck right?
 
UNR because you'll get millenium. Then if you get any other scholarships they just mail you checks and you can spend that money however you want.
 
Come to Montana. It really isn't as hick as people think, and we actually got some snow this year.
 
As a Montanan, I think you should stay as far away from our state as possible. You won't like the kick ass skiing, nice people, small town vibe, or ridiculous country to play in. I plan on being at MSU fall of 07, so see you there.
 
Montana sucks ass, I am going to Utah Valley State right now, it is way better down here. Go to Utah for sure. Big citys are the shiznack. They don't call it Montucky for no reason.
 
me = going to utah next year. are you seriously chosing a school based on their programs? fuck i just saw snow and its out of state and said im going to utah
