Montage Inc. - I want my F'in money back

Fuck this... 6 months and 3 unanswered emails and still no movie? I could care less how good the movie is at this point, I'm not waiting a day longer. I just want my money back. Anyone have any ideas how to get in contact with them, seeing how I can't get an email back from them and MALONE stopped going on NS a while ago.
 
they responded to my emails, but didnt answer the question, they just said real soon.....and that was about a month ago, this is just stupid, even if they did get royally fucked over by the place that is making duplicates of their dvds it should have taken this long. im also pissed off
 
i got a chance to see the video twice, and it is rediculously good. the level of skiing is unheard of, the editing is really good, and they stepped it up with filming too.

all i heard was that the replicating company or something screwed them. i dont know if thats the truth but thats what i heard. trust me i know the guys enough to know that they arent trying to take your money and not give you a product.
 
that sucks that it's taking so long to get out there. I can tell you that they aren't scamming you.

Regardless though, if you want your money back at this point, the right thing for a company to do is apologize and refund your money.
 
the movie is worth the wait.

malone said it was the company who was producing their dvds who messed it up, and is outside of their control
 
at this point I simply do not care how good the dvd is. the fact is, montage inc. is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever come across. MALONE came on NS way back in OCTOBER, said that if you wanted the movie you had to order it immediately, and that there will only be a limited number of copies made so you had to pre-order if you wanted one. since then, there have been several other threads on NS, one in january where the same replies were posted "it's not their fault.. the movie is so dope... it's worth the wait..."

well if montage remotely cared about any of the customers that supported them I think they would atleast have the decency to make a thread, reply to emails, anything.. to explain the situation.. but no, they do nothing.

well that's not the kind of company I want to support. so fuck this, I want my $15 back.
 
you will get a copy of it im sure of that. and when you watch it, your gunna feel like an ass for making this thread cuz it is rediculus
 
I don't really think that's the point of the thread. He's an unhappy customer, and nothing is being done about it. Bad customer service = losing customers.
 
its worth it. be patient, its not some huge movie company on top of their shit with interns and stuff, they're going to have some issues. you'll eat your words when you watch it.
 
For once in my life I agree with Nomen.

Montage is definitely legit but if you really sent 3 emails over the course of 6 months and have had no response whatsoever that is pretty much bullshit. 6 months is a long, long ass time for a delay.
 
I won't lie that is absolutely horrible customer service. If you email a company they should at least give you some sort of response. It's not like Sean hasn't been patient with the getting the movie. 6 months is way way way too long. Just get your money back Sean.
 
you are an ass for posting that....it is completely rediculous and unprofessional, tough luck for montage, this incident is giving them a horrible name and there have been no legit posts to defend themselves

Allright, so they didn't respond to the emails. That's unfortunate, yes, they should have.

However, bitching about wanting your money back like this is stupid.

It's out of their control that the replication people screwed them (which is what happened)

The ONLY people who have copies are people who know them personally.

It's 15 dollars... shit, you are going to get a good movie for 15 bucks. Nobody is trying to screw you and it's not MALONE's problem just because he doesn't sign on to newschoolers any more.

I realize you feel cheated and you are trying to get even, but in the end, all that's going on is that you are complaining over the internet about 15 dollars.
 
come on man seriously, I already addressed this.. I could care less how or why the movie hasn't shipped yet.. yes, it is shitty that its the replication people that screwed them, but it's how montage neglected to explain to their paying customers what the deal was. a simple heads up would have been great, a newsletter, NS thread, anything.. but to not even reply to emails? that's low.
 
not the best way to establish your film company. I know theres going to be a lot of people not buying montage anymore.

It is really sad to see these companies get screwed like this, and they are sick skiers and chill people. Bummer.
 
that sucks.. i would find the adress.. nd if close go se them.. but if not, idk.. send them another e-mail or a letter or something..theres not much u can do at this point..
 
I'm still waiting for my pre-paid copy as well and was wondering what the hold-up was.

It sucks for Montage if a problem with replication is holding up their distribution, but still, no ski film company can expect much success if their film still isn't out by April of the next year, especially if they've encouraged people to pre-order and pre-pay for the film.

If this were my gig, I'd drive to the closest electronics store today, buy a tall stack of DVD-Rs and start burning. I'm sure at this point non of the pre-paid Montage customers give a shit about a nice DVD cover, authoring etc. Just give us some F'in skiing for our money!
 
^ agreed. the dvd duplicator is a weak excuse. either start burning or put it online because its going to be friggin june before you know it
 
this should have been the end of the thread. wake up folks its 15 bucks. 15 songs on itunes, a meal at a cheap restaraunt, or even a few dubeys if your into that sorta thing. even if you never get any money back, you could spend 15 bucks in WAY worse ways. be patient i am sure the video will come. 
 
fuck the principle. The montage crew is a gift to skiing, those kids all have such tight style, everyone carves off jumps forwards and switch, stu fuckin changing the street game with ollies and nollies onto everything, 2s onto street rails with a curb high jump on, no retarded one foot skier hop bullshit. Its arrived and everyone should see it.
 
now i understand why your upset, you should be, you paid for something and want either what you paid for or your money back, because you feel it is an unreasonable time frame. to be honest it is a really long time but like we were told it was out of their hands. i understand its not about the money. thats what i am saying. if a movie never comes AND you don't get any money back (which is not going to happen), you contributed 15 bucks to a group of really good skiers. i bought the movie also, so its not like i am a completely bias fool. thats just how i look at it. 
 
you guys all say its not Montage's fault because they got screwed by some other company........ just becaquse they got hosed, doesn't give them the right to hose their customers. Money should've been refunded already, and maybe those people would buy the movie again when it actually came out. Terrible service....... I'm so glad i did'nt order it
 
If the replication company screwed them, why don't they just sue them or something then go to another company... holy crap that's a hard idea to come up with
 
or maybe just eat it and go to another comapny. They chose the production company, obviously didn't do a good job doing so, and are now having their customers eat the bill. They made the mistakes, their customers ( i guess they're not really customers since they never got a product in return for their cash) cover the bill.

Its as simple as they have not been able to produce what they promised, so cash has to be returned.
 
another solid example of not-quite-competent skier kids trying to conduct a business-like enterprise with no understanding of how it actually should work. what I'm getting at specifically is that no matter how screwed montage gets by the replicating people it is still montage's responsibility to give the customers at least the option to have their money back or wait it out for the dvd if they want to.

As for $15 not being a lot of money... fuuuuck that. you could eat 3 solid meals at wendy's for $15.

This thread is so stupid. The kid never said they're bad skiers. We all know the montage kids are great skiers. Yeah, we know the DVD replicating company fucked up... great. The catch is none of that should be a reason for them not responding to an email. So you're telling me good skiers can't read emails, or type? If you're fucked over by a company you should just forget about all other aspects of the project? Like Nomenstevens said...... even if it comes with a free blowjob, they still fucked up in the customer service aspect. If it was the guaranteed best movie ever, and I got it 6 months late, after watching it I GUARANTEE I would still say "Sure wish it hadn't taken 6 months."
