Mont Tremblant

ya in quebec you can buy booze at the corner store (depanneur in french). and they ALL have it, any corner store you go to will have booze. Guareented.

In Ontario alcohol is goverment regulated so it can only be purchased at "the beer store" or LCBO.

Check out tremblant.ca and google " tremblant strike." They are running about 1/4 of the terrain they could be and only three lifts

Except spirits... which you have to buy at a special store. But beer, by the plenty (and I mean the plenty, with specials on it) is always available at depanneurs.

And yeah, Tremblant rules.

Whoever said "if you are 15-19 go to cafe de lepoque, 19-25 caribou 25+ shack is sooo wrong..

it depends more on what you like, and first of, if you 15, forget it right away.

Its more, if you like younger girls, that are 16 years old stupid sluts, go to cafe de lepoque, if you want to enjoy a real "Ski town Bar", hit the caribou, 75% chances you cross some pro skiers, may be even behind the bar, and le shack? No one "goes out" to the shack, go there for supper for christ sake, not to get drunk/laid..etc...

basically, go to the caribou no matter what. and if you come from a place where you cant go out at 18 years old ( US-21, canada 19), dont act like a retard that is going out for almost the first time, or you'll learn how Quebecers treats english kiddoes when they`re drunk!

that was the 101 on going out in tremblant.

since its not that bg you'll probably ski all of it.....but dont waste your time. The edge, versant soliel if you like to smoke and ride, and the north face terrain park are by far the best places.

definatly le shack, its sort of expensive, but its a must go in tremblant. Also go to the beaver tail place right off the main square, you can get a beaver tail with reeses pieces on it.

and to the guy who called it america with an accent, try french canadian, or even english. you're not the only ones who speak "americain"

i stayed at the grande lodge... when ur in tremblant look for this wood trail on the side of the mountain, it leads to a natural halfpipe and it's really cool, it's somewhere near the chairlift. and they have the best glades, and one of things i thought was cool is they got lil' food shops hiddin' in the mountain, i found one in between two runs in a wood trail, man i thought Mont Tremblant was the best mountain all the ski patrol is layed back and i try to guess what the french people are tryin' to say on the gondola.

loved it so much, same wit' my parents cause the village is so tight that our parents are selling our home mountain condo so we can buy one up in tremblant, oh and ur gonna wanna buy ur self one of those turle nech thingys.

i also stayed on the mountain l8, they close at 4:00 pm so they can groom and we stayed on the mountain so everyone got off and we were the last ones up there so we hiked up and rode down to our skis on our boots and did that a couple times, u'll have so much fun man im going twice this year, one for condo's, my parents do that while we ski, and another time for pleaure.

-Have a good time

l'petit caribou is supposed to be tight as FUCK...there's a reason Freeskier named in the #1 ski bar in North America

caribou is the shit.. its got crazy canadian girls that dance on the bar while a bar tender will fill like 100shots and just pass them out

correction: crazy AMERICAN girls.

caribou has a sign outside saying 25+ but if you don't act like a drunken retard, you should be fine.

it gets reaaallly fucking cold, so bundle up. definitely lock up your stuff, or keep an eagle eye out.

and don't fuck with the locals, they've been known to be less than friendly.

i'll likely be there quite a bit from now til january, seeee you thurrr.

nah i have to say the french canadian girls i met there were crazy.. but thats not a bad thing. and yes it gets real cold.. last time i was there it was -20 to -40 with the windchill at the top. but the snow is always light and not much ice. ill be there the 8th of jan.

it is mostly americans if you go christmas, thanksgiving, or president week. Christmas, march, and easter is ontario. The rest of the time it is mostly montrealers and ontario people. But a lot of the montrealers are english, Tremblant is a pretty english hill.

yea it really doesnt matter who parties harder. all that matters is that after a hard day of skiing theres always the outdoor hot tub at the spa and then off to the bar --either caribou, el diablo, or octabar

Tremblant is in the midst of a major labour dispute right now. I was up there over the weekend (but did not ski). It was at least an hour for tickets, 2 hour wait in the gondola line, most stores were closed, etc.

Ugly, ugly situation.

yeah, tremblant is deff not the place to be this christmas break, I cancelled my hotel reservations already

I always liked drinking beer at Diablo, I miss tremblant.

The montreal smoked meat sandwiches are a waste of money if you've had good ones from MTL before. Food in general is hellish expensive. I think I spent $9 on a slice of pizza and an iced tea.

I'll see you guys over the winter, I'm going up twice I think.

If you go to La Diable, get a pitcher of Extreme, best beer. Oh and if you are there while the Gappers are in town, hit the octobar, cheap booze, and easy gappers!
