Some friends and I are heading up to Tremblant the week after Christmas and staying at a condo. Any advice on places to go-bars or restaraunts-while we're there? Should we exchange our money at the border? Do I need to watch my shit from being stolen? Do the locals speak English? Never been that far north in Canada so any help is much appreciated.

Bars to go to: le p'tit caribou, le shack, and le cafe d'epoque.

Theres a money exchange place right in the village.

Lock up your gear.

Bring warrrm outerwear.

And yeah, you can talk english. Don't be a dick though. Alot of Quebecers are thugs on the hill, remember that.

every one speaks english, it is like a part of america with an accent

also, to get last tracks, take the last gondola ride or TGV ride, and go up in that observitory thing, and chill out there for a bit, then ski down all by yourself

Its pretty sweet, you can't go wrong just about anywhere there. If I remember the exchange rate at the border is a little better.

Lanks said the best bars. Conditions aare nice, BUT they are COLD!!!! take alot of clothing, like long underwear, amd such and extra pair of gloves and maybe a facemask. But ask anyone it is COLD but it is worth it!!

nice stuff ill be up at a condo w/ some friends right before christmas i cant wait its gona b sweet, any1 know what in their park right now???

Go to the YAoooooooooo pizza bar, its pretty chill theyre always playing ski/snowboard vids and stufff.

And their park is pretty sick, not too much setup but nice.

Go to www.tremblant.ca and control the live webcams, seee for yourself.

word son. im going with suny oswego and stayin at the big hotel next to the spa with the side entrance next to the ski path. ill either have on a tan parka or all black riding last years TM's

hell yea i exchange it.. hopefully the exchange rate is better than in the past.. i like canadian money except for the 2 and 5 coins.. if you drop change its like 93419345 bucks gone..

no 5 buck coins... idiot.

If you are 15-19, cafe d'epoque or octobar. 19-25, le caribou, 25+, le shack.

It gets cold in jan and feb. will prob be around -10 celcius over christmas break.

People speak english, and french, and japanese, its a tourist hill.

If anyone is there the night of the 29th, want to let Apple, Ilovehad, and myself sleep on a floor. We have lodging tehcnical diffculties that night.

Definately pre-game before going anywhere. Ill be on the mntn as much as possible, not sure what outerwear but ill prolly be wearin snow camo oakley wisdoms, last year mike nicks, and a beat to shit navy columbia jacket

on tgr there are rumors that intrawest is closing tremblant some kind of strike sounds like bullshit did anyone hear anything

not everyone speaks english there

the park is nice

bring money

there might be a strike for a day or two.

ill probably be there a few times in the next week or so. see you there.

english is pretty omnipresent tho, and theres a place in the village to xchange money dont pay with american cuz they round up and u get ripped off, and make sure u hit the glades off the edge

their park is definetly dope, but the good park on the southside only opens up a bit later in the year...

ya'oooo is the place to be for apres ski with 10 dollar pitchers and chill ppl, not to mention sick pizza!

head to the fairmont and hit up their hot tub if you can...

yea. but that one under the chair on the north side has usually two jumps right after each other and got some good kick to them

ill take what i can get when im up there. plus overall their trails can keep you away from the park anyways.. trees-steeps. dont need just jumps..

plus great nightlife makes you sleep in.. unless it dumps

last year when i was there, the town at the bottom of the mountain was on some kind of liqour strike. The only places you could get alcohol were at the bar or if your drove to a different town. Luckily me and my friends drove up there

Right now Tremblant is on strike and only have 2 lifts goings. They have only 15 runs open and they got a foot of the snow last night

I'll be up there from the 19th all the way until Jan. 16th or so. If you wanna meet up and do some runs or grab a beer send me a pm

i'll be there during the holidays prob. Also like Dishwalla said, the good park "soth side" only opens later on in the year so don't go there with huge expectations.

I know for sure that they all talk french but the thing is is that i heard that evdery body up there is snotty pieces of crap no offense to ppl who go there but that is what i heard.... i went to mont st. anne lat year and its only anout a half hour from theyre i would check that out because its a pretty sweet hill.... so his le massif

are you on drugs man?

alcohol is sold everywhere in quebec. well wine and beer anyway. not like ontario where you need to hit the " beer store" beer store? i thought the depanneur was the beer store?
