Money saving tips?

stop at walmart in squamish, buy food there to make good meals. also go to the re-use it centre in function junction, lots of good cheap stuff there

Eat a shit ton of eggs, they're dirt cheap and high in protein.

Breakfast burritos and scrambles, egg sandwiches, omelltes, eggs and bacon, etc.

Homemade chili for lunch meals, just double bag that and throw it in your pocket....good warm or cold

Don't drink, it sucks but you'll save a ton of money.

wal mart in squamish is amazing, as is the re-use it centre. i spend the most money on drinks when i'm out, so its always good to predrink until you are pretty much good to go for the night. aside from that..... try to strategically grocery shop and don't always go out for food because it adds up quickly, plan to cab with friends if you aren't walking... etc

the only real way to save money is to be a hermit and not do anything (ie not partying). if youre planning on staying a while that time will come trust me, as for your first year here i would highly recommend getting amongst it and have a good time with the people. make friends, theres nothing wrong with just getting by if you have something to show for it

very true.don't come to whistler if you are looking to save money. unless you live with your parents here, then you aren't gonna save any dough. my first year out of high school, a friend of mine moved up to try and save and he wound up not making any new friends, never going out, and never wanting to do any thing because he was worried about money all the time.you don't want to move to a place like whistler and worry about money and not be able to enjoy yourself and live it to its fullest extent.
and to quote my sister "I have one word of advice: predrink. That's all"

anyone who doesn't already pre-lash, pre-drink or pre-game when they go out has too much money and should give some to me.
any locals want to recommend cheaper bars without being too crap/disgusting a place to be in?
