money at camp

Im bringin $100 for a hoodie and a shirt or something. All you need for customs is a birth cert and an ID. I dont know if a school ID will pass but you can go to the DMV where ppl get their drivers liscenses and get a state ID which is official and costs $5, unless you have a drivers liscense which would make it even easier.

do the coaches boot for u?

don't forget that if your flying out of Vancouver you have to pay $15 or they won't let you through...well, last time i was in Van they made me pay, cheep bastards, could be different now.

Bring as much money as possible...you need lots for alcohol, more for shirts and stuff, 15 for van. airport renovations, food money for the shitty nights you go to bad restaurants (me and my friends went to dinner 1 time, we always started drinking too early...) and you should be set. BRING A NOTE FROM YOUR PARENTS TO get over the border...they are dicks at customs at times. The guy almost didn't let us get over because we were supposedly runaways w/ skis. We had him call shane szocs' hotel room but he wasn't there. Then he called my dad to verify it, the guy said 'so you are making the canadian govt pay for a phone call to your father?' i answered with, 'I have a phone card.'. he eventually let us go over after holding us there for a good 20 min.

yeh i spent al most all of my money i had exactly 10 left but they made me pay it to leave for like airport improvements or some bullshit

No, you can get just some sort of 'official' id that gets you over. I'm sure you could get one if you wanted to go through that trouble though. I'm pretty sure you only need one if you are staying htere for a certain amt of months?

just bring your health card (do they have those in the states?), drivers licence, and/or birth certificate, i never had problems crossing the boarder... If your driving over you usually don't need anything unless they think your bringing in illegal shit and they search you...

Heh, I was in Canada once, when I was like 14, and we were searched by the border guards/customs, and they totally trashed our stuff, meaning, my skis were f'd up (they were in a ski bag and the customs threw them out the back.) and most of our clothes were on the road! My uncle (a full colonel in the US Air Force) pulled rank on the basterds and said something like 'Do you want to start an international incedent!!' :) He talked to their supereors and the canadian govt gave us a check to cover all the destroyed goods :) i hate the border patrol

i got checked once going into N. Dekoda with my dad and all they did was look through our bags and put everything back the way it was, we were in a rental car and they said a thing came up on the computer to check the car. it was total bullshit, but our stuff didn't get tossed onto the road....

there is some good cloths up there go to the mogul shop they have good shit and salomon store has some sweet hoodies in

Man, I always end up spending more than is sane.

It all depends on how much you want to party.

There once was a man named DrUgGiE,
He ran into someone named DJBongHit,
Realised his nickname was really stupid,
And dropped it.

I'm bringing my Passport to get through customs, but I know is you're under 18 you can just get through with a birth certificate, however it's a good idea to get a parent write a letter to take along that says they know what you are doing, just in case you have any problems. As for money, I'm bringing $20 - $25 US a day which is just under $200 and my mom got my that VISA Bux card to get myself 'something nice'.

why they hell should they (boarder patrol) care if your a runaway or not, its not their business,

and geting your clothes thrown all over the road? theres something wrong with that... i thought canadians were supposed to be nice?
