i dont know how this is gonna look. here goes nothing...

well that doesnt make sense. i have around a 11/11.5 american shoe size, but my boots are 31, or 310mm. the "mondo" number is just how long the boot sole length is in centimeters.

mondo doesnt have to do with mm or anything at all. A good way to reference it is to add the two mondo numbers together to get the american size. So a 27 mondo size would be a 9 shoe size, becuase 2 + 7 = 9. A 27.5 would be a 9.5 american, and so on. So a 11.5 would be a 29.5 mondo size

mondo=cm

regular shoe size is based on a very obscure system involving the length of the kind of england's knuckles when placed side by side.

mondo is much easier to understand, but normal is a lot more accurate, which is why companies like Lange don't use mondo.

adding the digits in mondo to get the regular size will only work up to size 30

i cant remember which company it is. but one of them doesnt actually have a 30.5. it goes from 29.5 to 31.5 with a thicker liner for the "30.5". so basically once you pack out the liner, your skiing in a 31.5 instead of a 30.5 like you should be

i always remember it like this, if its less than 30, you add the 2 numbers together to get your ski boot size...

so 27.5 = 9.5 (2+7+.5)
