Moment skis

what model were you thinking of?

as a company they're supposed to be sweet. ive heard their skis are sick but have never ridden them myself. i dont know about flex or weight od durability or anything.
 
same here, but who cares? a love progression in skiing, even if that comes in the form of squared-off tips!
 
2 people i know have them one has rubys and one has renos

i was really impressed with how flexible and smooth the rubys were, but i wasnt very impressed with the moment renos they just seemed too average of a ski.

 
The Reno is a basic all mtn ski that rips. The Reno Jib was loosely based on the Reno but the Jib is completely symmetrical, has a titanal grind plate for added edge support along with a super strong anti-pullout plate. It also has a large butter zone and a new triaxial fiberglass layup pattern that gives the ski tons of pop to go along with its Aspen core.

whats the flex like on the melees? and why cant you show us the reno rocker topsheet?
 
The Melee's are super soft.

I cant show you the top sheet on the Rockers because its not the finished version and the artist doesn't want it to be shown yet.

 
those reno jibs are fantasticly sick. might even be my favorite ski. i would totally buy it if it came in 176. the bases are so sick too.

i feel queasy because they are soooo sweet. my next ski for sure!!! oh my god they are so sick. such a better pic then on the site. oh my god!!
 
ahh... need help deciding! reno jibs or rockers? both look so so sick. im prepared to try somethng new (rockers) but the jibs look so dope...

ill wait til they release the rocker graphics.
 
As in reno jib/rockers? They're all symetrical I believe, so dead center. It's like a pair of durable Invaders
 
Oh also, what's the flex like on Reno Jib? Could you compare to a specific ski? Softer than Scratches?

-Also on same boat on deciding between jib/rocker. I figure jibs since I ski on shitty snow
 
Little softer than the scrath but they also have a different flex pattern, softer tip and tail. but solid under and around foot.
 
Nope they are stiffer now. With added Titanal plate underfoot and anti-pullout plate we have super sustained camber and a stiffer ski. Its being tested in Mt. Hood and Whistler now and the riders like it much more than the last one.
 
You can mount them where ever you would like...

We make a center line mark and a mark -1 from the apex of the skis turning radius. We find that the ski turns best there. I will also say that none of our suggested mounting lines are as far back as a traditional skis.

All the Jib skis are intended to be mounted dead center since they are symmetrical skis.

It really depends on your riding style...A lot of people and riders i know like to mount their skis really far forward. I feel like it makes the ski too hooky, but its all up to you.

Its pretty stiff like that but has a lot more pop because it has a wood core. I will also note that its a lot lighter than a Rossi.
 
hey i just got back from whistler and mt. hood, testing the melee's, reno jibs, and reno rockers... they are all off the hook!

the reno jib is my personal favorite. it is the lightest and snappiest/poppiest ski I have ever ridden. it is about half the weight of a rossi scratch, slightly stiffer, and much livelier. I rode scratches most of the season last year and the jibs kill it.

The melee's are a super fun ski, but since we were riding park most of the week i didn't spend as much time on them, but i can imagine what they will be like in the powder. it's a really soft ski and since its rocker when you turn all of your edge pressure is right under foot, so instead of carving it slides which is a really cool feeling. skiing switch and slashing on this ski was nuts. also when you pick up the ski, despite its size its even lighter than the jib, rediculous! I think that ski is gonna make switch powder skiing easy.

I was really excited to test the reno rocker because i dont know of anyone else that has a rocker park ski. they made it relatively stiff and a little wider under foot than the jib so it was suprisingly stable on the big jumps and at high speeds. the rocker obviously makes buttering and pressing insane. and can you say "NOLLEY" on skis!

the week was fun as hell, and as always those guys at moment pulled through with some inovative idea's and off the kooh skis
 
how tall are you and was 181 for the rocker a good size. Normally 181 is way to big for me but i hear they feel shorter since they are rockered?
 
i hear such good things about the jibs, i really wish i had the funds to pick up a new pair of skis
