Should I just pull the trigger on the 184s or will the 179 give me enough of what I need to feel confident to ski bigger? ... Sorry for all the questions, so conflicted... Fwiw, my 177 Prodigy 2.0s feel super comfy to maneuver and get jibby, but not comfy to go fast through chop or landing drops.
I have the Prodigy 2 in a 177 too and I went for the 108 Cat in the 184 mounted at +2, and the sizing feels perfect, still easy to pivot and jib around on but with way more charge in chop and stability with the extra length, if you're wanting to charge harder than the Prodigy can handle it's definitely the way to go
for size reference I'm 5'6 and 135lbs ish so if I were you I'd go 184 for sure, it will probably feel like a lot of ski to start if you haven't skied something that long before but you'll get used to it
