Moment Rider's Skis Stolen at Windell's

Hey NS,

On June 21st 2008, Moment Team rider Sean Hartel had his 08/09 181 Reno Jib's Stolen at Mount Hood. The skis were located on the rocks near Windell's and Mount hood summer ski camps.

These skis should be very easy to spot since they have next year's graphics, only team riders have these skis as they are not currently on sale anywhere.

We would like to have these skis returned as soon as possible. If you have any information regarding the disappearance of these skis, please contact info@momentskis.com. You can also PM myself or Moment$$.

What is with everyone stealing Sean's skis? Got his 08's stolen, now they steal his 09's.

Do they have anything setting them apart like Twinlab or anything?

 
put a fuckin tracker in dem bitches...im sure its possible to do...anyways bad karma to whoever did it...maybe invest in a lock seeing as its the second time...or buy a kid tracker and stick it on them sticks
 
It'd probably be a local rider right? I'm just assuming that because I figured a camper would be noticed leaving with more skis than he came with. They shouldn't be too hard to find tho, it's pretty hard not to notice skis like that. If the person was smart they wouldn't show them on NS, ebay, or anywhere online and they'd keep them hidden in a locked room in their basement. They shouldn't be too hard to find, considering NS hates thieves.
 
what a dick move.you would think anyone as a part of a community/group of people together for a summer camp, or even in the ski community in general would never consider this sorta thing..kinda sad to hear aye.hope you get the skis back an this dck get his comeuppance!
 
almost forgot, sean will buy a 30 pack of premium beer(ie heinekin, MGD, Hoegarden, etc etc) to anyone who finds his skis!
 
I saw a guy on renos with that graphic at hood last week, he told me that they are the 09-10 ski, but on next years graphic. I don't know who he was, but he knew that about the ski so he seemed legit.
 
Oh wait, it said june 21st at the top. I wasn't at hood that day. I saw those skis before that so it must have been Sean who told me about those skis.
 
dang that really sucks dude. i'm up at windells the 6-13 so i'll keep an eye out for em. friend of mine had his skis stolen last season and never got em back. fucking theives
 
im suprised he noticed his skis were stolen, he is usually too busy talking about himself to notice.
 
maybe you dont know him well enuough. sean hartel is very full of himself, you know, and he is not the greatest or nices person out there. i have compete against him before, he is not nice guy.

but haaving said that, no skier deserve to have their ski stolen. if someone steal my ski i will beat down on their ass like i own his family.

 
Honestly, sean is a super nice guy, he is an extremely talented rider and he's kind of fearless.

That said, he's a very intense competitor and he wants to make a career out of skiing as a pro skier. A few years back, Sean suffered a severe head injury while participating in a rail jam, he suffered a lot of memory loss and he was certain he wouldn't ski park ever again.

Last season, he decided to leave school close to graduation, he geared up with Moment, and he has not looked back ever since. Sean trains so much and gets so little. He throws down some of the most insane tricks and never gets any credit in competitions. If you remember, he was the one who threw the switch double backflip at the US Open. He is training in New Zealand this summer and he is one of the key testers of the Reno Jibs, he's helped improve those skis to what they are today. So when you're riding them, remember that.

When Sean loses a comp, he isn't happy with himself, because it's his career and he left a lot behind to get here. When he's not competing he's a really nice guy, he's one of the best freestyle coaches out there. His kids shred so hard, and it's because of him and his coaching skills. But he also loves his kids and rides with them every chance he has even when he's not on the job.

Say what you want about Sean, but the truth is, he has a huge heart. He might be a bit intense when he competes, but it's his career on the line.
 
I got to meet Sean at the bachelor shoot and he was a really nice kids, we had different opinions on how we wnated the jump to be and I figured out eh was a nutshell but yea he's still a nice kid and he was fun to hang out with.

Kids seems to forget how many of the good riders have strong character and under certain circumstances they can be asses or really chill.

In my opinion, Sean definatly dosnt have one of the worst attitude in skiing, maybe not the best but nowhere near deserving people stealing his shit.
 
yo keep an eye out on craigslist in that area too! if you see them just act like a fake buyer! wtf is wrong with people maaaan? that tracking thing would be cool to have on some skis. like a gps or something.
 
I do believe they have Twinlab on the base on one tail, in blue writing, if that helps to identify them.

 
nope, they don't have twin lab logos, they are the old old 06-07 bases, i don't have any pics unfortunately
 
Who cares if the kids cocky .. hes a sick skier.. everyone has mad attitude at one point.. you probably just caught him on a bad day.. everyone on here is such a hater of people that meet for 1 second or dont even know.. sucks that you got your skis stolen dude,,. moments are the shit!!

Since when is skiing about training to pursue a professional career in it, sorry but thats rediculous. I dont know the kid at all whatsoever so I dont even think hes full of himself, but from what it sounds like - just because you take a comp. seriously dosn't give you an excuse to talk about yourself and be a dickhead to others.

i cant stress enough on how much i hate punks stealing other people's stuff... i hope you guys find them...
 
that's not them, those were the first ones that were stolen, they were the old old ones, no pictures unfortunately
