I have a question about the reno 160cm ski. Is the ski really flexible or really stiff?? i want a flexible ski for the pow pow and butters for the park so i have 2 skis on my mind Line Anthem or the Moment Reno for pow pow and park.... Any Suggestions?
the reno is a great park ski, it's very light and poppy and stable on jumps. it's definitely more on the stiffer side although it softens up a little with use. butters are possible but not effortless and it is kinda shitty in the pow. the anthem is softer than the reno so it will be better for butters and it's also wider so it will be better in pow. i hear it's also pretty sick in the park but ive never skied them.
@ The thread poster, I would've hit you up with an invite to Moment cult, but I am no longer able to.
Next year, there's gonna be a 160 ski called the Fast Fries. It lives up to it's name, too. Moment rep Dave is obviously feeling some hunger... I'm guessing it's essentially replacing the 160 Reno.
As far as the 160 Reno is concerned, I haven't ridden it, but I can say that all Moment skis are ridiculously light. Seriously.
im talkin about the reno not the reno jib im lookin at the 160cm reno for pow pow and park park but flexy for the pow and butters cause occasionally ill hit pow pow maybe like 3 times a month or more if im with my bro
yea well that's what the all mtn version was made for, kids that want something good for the park but that can handle the whole mountian, that's why it's on the freeride line and not the jib line.
Definatly more all around then the anthems but yea they can be both real fun, you should try finding some pairs to demo if you cant make up youdecision from our advice.
If you're buying next year, Fast Fries 160 or Freebird 166 should be good. 166 will give you a bit extra stability, and do you better in some powder probably (I'm sure you've learnt... more surface area = less pressure). I'm not sure Moment does many uber-soft skis - Anthems look fun but center-mount isn't great for all mountain. I've heard people struggle with it in stuff like trees.
Is Moment a stiff ski company cause i want a soft ski but would the fry be really stiff wats the specs on it ? And the freebird will be to tall for me i think there is a low chance ill grow that much...hehe i
you should probably get the reno jibs at size 171, because youre going to grow in the next couple of years, and by the time you are 110 pounds which will be pretty damn soon you are going to want 171,
I mean i wont be able to ski 160s this year their to big and so im gettin 160s next year I cant decide which skis to get for pow pow and park i want a pow ski since they can do anything but its to hard to find one!
YES i do ski pow pow with my bro hes 21 hes skied at this place (alpental) since he was 3 so he knows all the pow spots and he takes me to all the backcountry spots with pow so i do ski powder sumtimes we go up right when it opens and go straight to pow land the deepest ive skied is knee deep
So does the reno do well in pow pow??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or watever is my size next year 160cm that is flexy for pow pow and butters cause felx is good for pow at my size 158cm 97ish lbs any other skis for me?
So will the freebird work in park? since its more of a i dont know doesnt look like a park ski hehe i need more information! Hey quebec send me an inv to the moment cult plzzzzzzzz im thinkin about gettin some of those moments next year i cant decide Anthem, Fast Fries, or Freebird!!!
