Moment Reno Rocker graphic???

does anyone have apic of the top sheet design? ive seen the bases already but i ha havent seen the top anywhere.

pretty sure they havent been released because the artist hasn't finalized the graphic/wanted it to be released yet.

the base graphic that you saw isn't even the real base. Thats a generic base we use for prototypes, testing, or when we simple don't have a graphic. In this case the graphic isn't done yet. Its coming very soon though and I will post images as soon as its done.

would it be possible to order the ski with the prototype base?

i think its fucking baller

OMG.... thats exactly what i ws thinknig... lol...

the only reason i'm not buying rockers is cause they're only being made in 181 this season...

but the prototype base is soooooo hot.

yeah same, i like it more than the finalized reno jib one, but the reno jib one suits the jib's topsheet more.

i'd really like that prototype base on other skis though, by moment

yeah, proto base is so sickk....

but it wouldn't suit the jibs topsheet... i say keep the jib's finalized base... but other moemnt skis shud use the proto base... its sickk

i want rockers, but they too big (181), i wish they made 171s.. wud be sick.

i prolly will get jibs, they look hot too... i shud get some white pants to go wit it

I am glad you guys are stoked on the proto bases. All this input really helps how we mold our graphics for you. We want to be able to give you a product is great in functionality but also looks rad.

Good to see that Moment is a company that actually takes customer input.

Like... some of the Rossi graphics... Steeze I tthink the ski is called... wtf is with that?

I guess leaking some stuff on purpose can help a company mold their products into something perfect for their customers.

this is why i already love moment, there arent many companies that'd let you chose your base graphic.

and you guys seem to have your shit together

Yeah, but will they still let you choose your base graphic when [if] it becomes a super-popular company?

I'd rather keep Moment an "indie" ski company, but if it really does become so big, it's hard to hand-press skis for half the newschool skiing population.

Obviuosly while its in the small stage, they can afford to allow people custom graphics...

I'm sure link80guy said on another thread that he could get the Rockers with the Jib's graphics...

Agreed.

A lot of their skis are in prototype stages though, and can't afford to make more than one size.

Therefore they go with the size most people will ski on. I imagine most people are 5'10-ish... at least, so they make quite a few sks around 180-ish.

I'd like to see the Ruby at 171... although I'm not sure it's dimensions at 171 would be ideal.

I'd REALLY like to see Rockers at 171... maybe next season?

I understand where you smaller guys are coming from but our rocker press is not adjustable. It costs a lot of time and a lot of money to make one for a rocker like a 171. I will see what I can do but we might need to make a 171 before SIA at the end of January...which translates to a mid-season Rocker 171 release with very limited quantities...This may be able to happen if we get some support for the idea. Email your wants and needs for a smaller rockered ski to info@momentskis.com

Thanks a lot to everyone for the continued input, comments, insults, high-fives, and support.

good point, being small really is an advantage for a lot of indie companies. since they can talk to their market directly and its easier to get customer feedback to the people that design the skis. its rare that a thread on newschoolers about a ski from a big company would refered to by the people who designed it when making the new ski.(with the exception of maybe K2 since schmies is on here a lot)

but ive never seen an indie company take advantage of customer feedback as much as moment, so for that i have a lot of respect.

Well, I'm definitely in for the idea of a 171 Rocker... but I'm probably getting some new skis at the beginning of this up-coming season (probably Jibs, thanks Moment!!), so depending on my money situation around March I may get another pair of skis (Rockers, but only if I am able to get new skis). If not, I'm more than willing to wait 'til next season for Rockers... 'cause I know it'll be worth it.

I'm already likin' Moment, and I haven't even skied on a pair yet. On my wish-list are already like 3 Moment skis, Jibs, Rockers & Ruby's. I don't think I'll even consider other companies when I buy new skis..., lol. Moment have the skis for everything, all-mountain (Tahoes, Renos,), big mountain (Rubys, Comis, Comi-Kazis, M1, Melee), jibbin' (Reno Jibs & Reno Rockers, Melee). Only thing they don't have is on-piste cr*p, and I'm glad they don't.

Moment just seems like the perfect ski company...

I wish there was a company like this in Vancouver... It'd be so easy to buy skis... and I'd do whatever I could to help the company... and I'd pretty much just buy one of each model of their skis at once... Lol. It would probably cost me a fortune... I might as well own the company.

Absolutely. I have respect for Moment in many aspects...

Hopefully it will live up to all this hype...

Damn... how tall are you?

I'm around 170 (5'6-ish)... I like to ski with skis that are nearly as tall as me...

And plus, I'm still growing... so maybe by the time I decide to get Rockers, 181 will be fine.

Oh and also, apparently rockered skis feel like they're shorter?

really? like i said i might be ok on 171's i've never skied anything that big though, and yeah rockerd skis feel smaller so i guess i'd be alright, i'm abuout your height but alot lighter (125)

Lol. I'm actually similar in weight to you too...heck, we may even be same in age. ;)

I don't like my 07 TM's though (165), they're a bit heavy.

I've got quite a few other skis though, and all in the 160-170 range... and they're all great.

sack up dude im what 5-10 lbs heaver and im skiing on 180's its not a big deal once u get used to bigger skis youll lovem get the 181's

if your TMs feel heavy, good luck finding something you consider to be light. while i've never skied a pair of the moments, i can't imagine them being very much lighter than TMs without sacrificing in the durability department.

It's odd, 'cause all my other skis seel to feel lighter than the TM's. Maybe it's the way I ski... or something

I've got Scratch FS WRS, 1080 Foils, and some 05-06 PE's.

ya i really think that a lot of people would buy the rockers in 171 or 174 just because no other company is doing it.

Yeah, def.

Just gotta wait for the 181 to become big news, and then create a 171... all the smaller people would pounce on those skis.

im really pumped about moment skis... they seem like they are going out of their way for customers much more than any other company out there and their skis look amazing. I am totally getting a pair of reno jibs or rockers for this season... just not sure which ones yet. These guys rock

same, i'm so hyped up about Moment...

I'd like Rockers or Jibs, but as rockers are only being produced in 181, I'll be gettin' some Jibs this coming season.
