im thinkin about getting reno jib or (reno rocker?maybe). i used ar6's last year and i wanna try out some other companies stuff.

reno jib
whats it like compared to ar6 if you can compare
and
is it stiff/soft

reno rocker- rockered park ski?
i dont know that much about rockered skis but i think its supposed to keep your tips up in pow?.
so whats that do for park?

hit me up with some info

if your going to get a rockered ski just to do the park then do not get it. the rocker effects keeps your tips up so you cant pop off a lip of a just as to a normal camber ski you can pop with it.

they are somewhat stiff...but they also have a ridiculous amount of pop..and as far as the comments about the rockers, that's not necessarily true, if you look at our last team update, Ced and KC Deane are using the rockers in the park...I haven't ventured with mine in the park too too much, but Ced will have something to say in this thread most likely

After skiing both this season i can say that the rocker and jib are both solid skis jumps rails you name it both have pop but its differnt you learn to pop with the rocker in a different way then the jibs but they still pop the rockers are a more fun butter rail ski that can still handle jumps and the jibs are gnarly crud jump skis that are still playful

You can still get pop out of a rockered ski, it's justfeels a little different then the regular cambered skis.

On another note if your more into hitting big jumps and not into playing around on smaller features, then the rocker may not be the ski for you.

If your more into having fun with whatever is in the park from a 15 foot flat rail to the knoll you want to do inverted butters on then the rockers will be better.

If you want more info about what skis to get pm me with some more ifno about you and the way you ride.

i wasnt saying the rocker is a bad ski i was saying that if you want a park-specific ski i wouldn't go with a rockered ski

ok i'm looking for a replacement for my 08 walls.. how does the moment jib flex compare to these.. if anything i want something similar but without the whole falling apart problem.. the moment jib seems a good option as does the amplid antidogma but those seem a bit expensive.. didn't want to make a new thread so.. how do people find the moment flex? are they ok for playing around.. i'm pretty light (135-140) and i find the walls a little on the stiff side for just messing about but i like the hold at speed..

You'll find the Jibs comparable to the Walls stiffness, just a bit softer, I think. Very poppy, though

ehhhhhhhhhhhh no.

the rocker doesnt effect nollies at all.

check the reviews, im sure someone out there did reviews for both those skis.

the jib is pretty stiff i think, esspecially compared to ar6's. Wicked ski, lots of fun.

the rocker is super fun in the park, and all over. But a little sketchers when you wanna go super fast. Lots of chatter and really flexy and snappy. You get wicked speed wobbles. But other than that, fuckin ya theyre awesome! Oh, one thing, since you have less surface area, you do go a little slower in the flats, so be aware of that.

I had lots of fun on both these skis this season. Moment is pretty neeto.

ar6's are prettttty stiff. i rode this years ar6's and this years reno jibs and there pretty similar. i wouldnt say one is stiffer than the other.

well it doesn't matter 2 much if they are a bit on the stiff side as long as i can still flex them to pop, i have lizzies for those piss about days.. this might be a completely wrong but from the pictures i've seen the tips look pretty long (on reno jibs).. is that right? anyway im basically thinking its between reno jibs and amplid antidogmas for next season.. i like the look of the salomon suspect too but i want to support a smaller brand and i think both amplid and moment are moving in the right direction..
