Anybody have any further details or links besides SIA coverage on this new ski from moment? i know its a mix between the ghost chant and night train and has flat camber under foot but thats about all ive heard. wondering what the sizes may be, will it have exagerated rocker like the chant, and will it be a more centered mounted ski like the chant? +kkk

I heard it's coming in the standard size run so 168,178,186 and a much welcomed 196. When looking at the NT in the past, the only that turned me off them was the lack of a 190+ size. With regards to question about rockered, it's fully rockered, and its got some technology called Radius rocker, basically from what I can gather, the rocker becomes more exaggerated in proportion to the increase of ski width. No answer on the mounting point, simple answer not sure, maybe one of the moment guys can fill us in on that part.

So stoked on next years lineup! I want them all, Gov's, Bibby's, Exif's, and GT's. This years bibby is DA SHIT!

More and more companies are starting to copy eric hjorleifson's renegade idea with the full rocker that matches the sidecut radius. 4frnt did it first, then icelantic took it with the gypsy, now moment's taking it with the ghost train.

Man I doubt it, last thing we nee is a other rossi/armada fiasco. Hard to 'copyright' a ski design when literally every company has a similar model in each category.

its actually pretty easy.... all you have to do is patent it.

but i doubt 4frnt did it because its really fucking expensive

Yeah it's easy, but everyone else has a similar technology, so actually qualifying for a patent would be stupid hard. Also fuck that, if something works, don't protect it, let others use and improve it. We're talking skis not $200,000 cars.

when the tech first came out it would have been really easy, but now it is unpatentable due to the One Year On Sale Doctrine which states: if an item/tech/idea has been on the market for over a year it is in the public domain and unpatentable.

also.... all businesses are designed to make money. if whoever invented it first thought that they could make more money off patenting it and licensing it and they didnt, theyre an idiot.

Bump anyone had a chance to ride these yet? I dont like the changes they made and am very skeptical that these will be better than the Night Trains

havnt rode em but felt the flex and stuff and they seem like the will be right up there with the night trains. ive heard that they handle better on hard pack than night trains
