Moment Frankenski?

Might be lucking myself into a pair of frankenskis for pretty cheap, but may have some concerns. I dont really actually ski park and would be using these as just a weird fun jib ski for when it hasn't snowed in a while (still an aspirational park skier dw) - I skied 110 days at Alta last winter for reference. Are they a little too soft for skiing all mountain? The pair Im maybe getting is a special construction 90 underfoot (Cody Laplante why can't you just be normal), so am I really gonna be out of luck here? He's selling them for pretty cheap and im a weird moment fanlord which is why im still considering, but are they too park oriented?

just get em and use them for low tide days jibbing around or the odd park lap. They're super nimble and the symmetrical sidecut is so fun for skiing switch. If you're looking to progress in the park they will be fantastic for that. They're definitely not the softest park ski either, but they do have a lot of rocker.

gear talk, but totally get them they look like fun. If you don't like them just post them on snowshare someone is probably retarded enough to buy the skis for more than what you bought them for

get them so you can befriend [tag=288934]@PartyBullshiit[/tag]

also, getting sendy on flexy skis will make you a better skier for sure. its harder to stomp things so you’ll be more focused on landing bolts and will make you that much better when you switch back to your big mountain skis or whatever they do at alta lol. just don’t snap your knee

Very true and they're dirt cheap ex-pro skis, so much clout

I wanna be friends with [tag=288934]@PartyBullshiit[/tag]

Actually a pretty good point, if I can go mach Jesus thru chop and do a shitty big 180 while missing my barely crossed blunt grab on these then anythings possible on 110s. definitely plenty of days where all I do is play around and think these should be fine in bumps too if my try hard freeride team friends goad me into something

Appreciate that. Yes absolutely get them. While they are the ski moment recommends if you do more than 50% park they’re plenty capable and fun for most of the mountain at 98 underfoot they’re not going to float like a monster but [tag=173075]@tcurle[/tag] rips them almost everywhere. He’s posted more than a few videos of him charging crazy hard. While it’s one of their softer skis it’s not a soft noodle by any mean. If the price is right jump on it. You won’t regret the purchase. At this point based off my moment quiver franks will most likely be my next scoop.

The kicker is that they’re Cody’s custom version of the ski so 90 underfoot, that’s where most of my concern comes from - shape should be pretty consistent but that’s a big difference from the stock 98s

Gonna lose a little more float but that’s not really what’s the skis for anyways. Should still be plenty fun for the right conditions.
