Moment Deathwish???

Has anybody ridden the Moment Deathwish? The triple camber kinda freaks me out. Just curious to hear some thoughts on this freaky ski.

We discussed it over at ski builders and wrote it off as more or less a gimmick. I haven't read any reviews about the ski that have shown that the triple camber to give it some amazingly substantial performance. At least Moment is trying stuff though, we will never know if something works if noone ever tries it, right?

Triple camber means that you have a flat point in the tip and in the tail. With this technology, you have every benefit on a rocker, say, mustache rocker, but with more effective edge, depending on how you ski (more forward or more backward, both case benefits of the technology). I think the goal of this dirty mustache is to deliver a true all-mountain performance ski. From everything I've read on those, they all pass the test. I think what came out the most was that they were extremely good on groomers and any type of snow, while having the ability to stomp crud and float on pow (112 waist/rocker tip and tail).

I'm giving them one year just to give those skis a perfect finish touch/fix and I'm gonna buy a pair. Like I said, I'm pretty sure Moment will rule the all-mountain range with that model.

This, if they prove to be all moment say they are I might be picking up a pair next season to use as my touring ski, considering the weight - 9lbs @190

I skied on the 2014 Deathwish at the SIA on snow demo. Wanted to try them because of the "dirty mustache rocker" and because the moment guy said this 113 waist ski was their one ski quiver. I only got two runs on them but these things ripped. Super easy to link gs turns. So fun. I'm sure they are nice in the pow. Not sure about the bumps. Thinking this might be my everyday ski next year.

There's some good discussion on this over on TGR tech talk. I'll provide a clicky when I'm off mobile.

So I pulled the trigger and bought a pair. Awesome. The dirty mustache really works. They rail like a race ski. Mine (184) have a 25m radius but arc like a 17 or 18 radius. They're great in pow but poppy and playful. Believe it or not this 112 mm underfoot is a great one ski quiver. If you can't buy a pair you should find some to demo.

What would you call the flex? Also if you could name the skis you using for comparison, that would help.
