Moment and Surface?

Hey guys, I've been helping my friend recently pick out some new skis and we've cruised around to a couple of shops and checked some shit out. I saw a couple of pairs of Moments, and also some Surfaces, some of which my friend thinks are dope so I was wondering in general how are Moment and Surface on durability? I haven't heard much about them so thanks bros.
 
Couple years ago surface were basiclly tooth picks but they picked up the slack a couple years ago and their skis have been doing pretty well. I have a pair of Watch life, which i use in the park, powder, frontside and tree runs. Sadly the first day i had them i was in a lift line a snow boarder came behind me super fast and hit my tail which chipped it. I epoxied it and its totally fine now.

I would recomend Surface because they are pretty cheap and dope skis.

never ridden either but have heard of TONS of people breaking the Moment Jibs, and just heard bad things about product quality that have scared me away from buying moments in the past. my friend had a pair of surface no time's that he snapped on the very first day he was out on them. Don't base what you or your friend buys on just that but just letting you know.
 
Moment durability is the worst. They break easily but that's there only problem really
 
Both have sub par or hit and miss durability for park skis. However, they both make sick pow skis. I love my bibby's, the edges an bases are holding up super well considering I've basically run them over pure rock so many times with the low snowpack in Whistler. My buddy's surface one life's and live frees are super bomber as well.
 
i have been riding surfaces for 3 or 4 seasons now. don't pay full price, cause they will probably break
 
I don't know about park but Moment's are fuckin bomber for real skiing.

Surface seems flimsy too me, not real keen on them.
 
Thanks for the input guys. It just looks a bit too chancey to go for Moments or Surfaces, so me and my friend are looking at a solid pair of AR7's, which I have and love, and he can snag them for a good deal form a local shop.
 
know a guy who was sponsored by them and said they were pretty sick and they are made in China. (but K2 is made in china too so dont base that off anyting)
 
You bash Moment every chance you get don't you?

Sorry OP I have not had experience with either, but hope you find what you are looking for.
 
. Dont listen to stose^^ kid broke a pair of moments couple years ago and hates on them every chance he gets.
