Mom stole my lift tickets. wtf

i got two free lift tickets from my local hill b/c i cut my knee open and went to ski patrol. they have me fill out a survey on their service and mailed me two free lift tickets. cool. i dont need them cuz i got an everyday pass but i figure i can always give them to a friend whos got a once a week pass if they wanna go twice one week or something. so mom steals the lift tickets and justifies it by saying that she payed the doctors bill. wtf, im the one who sliced my knee open and got seven stitches and have subsequently been sitting on my ass the last two weeks. i figure at least splitting them is fair
 
actually quite a bit. when i broke my hand it was like $300. and my family has health insurance.
 
Could be anywhere from a $10 co-pay to a hundred dollar or more deductable.

Getting injured in the states is not cheap, even if you are insured.
 
I wouldn't care...you know my mom has taken care of me for all these years. And then I get pissed when she wants a day of skiing.
 
So what would you rather do? Pay the $25 co-pay and have the free passes for your buddies, or let your mother who pays for your ass in and out go skiing?

You destroyed her vag forever and have cost her a ton more financially. Let her have the day of skiing.
 
Thats why i love canada see if i fall and break my arm, i get taken to the hospital( i can be the poor as fuck) i get treated get a cast on and set free, no bills :D same thing, if i get in a car accident and i need huge ass surgery to save my life, its FREE!

well not free, thats part of where our taxes go but you get the picture.
 
youre a faggot.... why would you give youre tickets to your friend who already has a once a week pass? youre mom payed for your med bill and raised you therefore she deserves some skiing. its youre fault you cut your knee and your mom had to pay

I would be little choked because she took the passes without asking you, but c'mon man she fucking raised you. The least you can do is let her ski for a couple of days.
 
Sorry, I should have written how much could THEY have cost, I was taking about the tickets. If your mom paid 300 for you medical bill she took your what $100 tickets? I dont think thats so bad.
 
you forgot about the part that we still have to pay monthly for basic healthcare. in alberta it's 44 bux a month. adds up.
 
wtf? a doctor in the US has the same training as a doctor in canada. also, when you visit a doctor here in canada that's who you see. in the states if you go to a clinic often you don't even see the doctor, you see some guy who is a douchebag and doesn't give you the proper treatment. case in point: I was working in california and got a nasty sore throat and very very tired. buddy at the clinic made me get a pregnancy test, even though i told him there was no way in hell i was pregnant and that my throat hurt a lot. ended up costing $100. I go back a few days later, they test for mono, and that's what I had.
 
thats bullshit. its not like our doctors were educated differently then yours. many of them probably went to school in the us. fuck. some of yours might have even come to canada.
 
Very reasonable.

I have health insurance thru my employer, and it costs me $40 every 2 weeks and they only cover 90% of the bill.
 
Here's and idea, go skiing with your moms and enjoy a day with family. It may not be that long until you won't have this option. I'm sure she'd love it.
 
that's just the very basics though. so you can go to the doctor and the hospital. no prescriptions or anything like that.
 
You have NO IDEA how much your parents shell out every month just to support your spoiled little ass! Who bought your season pass FFS? Was it your Mom's fault you busted your knee open? NO! She paid the Dr. bill anyway. Let her have the tickets and quit being leech!

with our new carrier i pay about $110 per paycheck. so thats about $220 out of my pocket every month.

first off dont make assumptions that b/c my parents pay for my healthcare(crazy i know) that they pay for everything. I worked all summer and earned the money to buy my pass, skis, boots, bindings, and gas to drive 45 min out and back to the hill everyday in a car that gets shitty mileage. Its totalling somewhere in the $2500 range. i can see why ultimatly my parents (mostly my dad b/c my mom doesnt work) can do what they want with the tickets but dont go calling me some spoiled kid whos mommy and daddy buy him whatever he wants like probably half the kids on this site. that my last rant on this subject. go ahead and hate all u want now but u guys all know u'd want at least one of the tickets
 
Sorry I was so quick to judge you bud. I was wrong now that I see that you are earning your own ride etc...

I see so many spoiled kids these days and the original rant sounded like that without the new info. Again, sorry, you're right to be a little torqued... still, cut mom just a little slack, she is mom after all.
