ok atleast tell me what I said that was so dumb. I tried to explain how even though college is MUCH MUCH harder, highschool is no breeze if you haven't experienced anything harder in your life prior. I think that makes enough sense, or atleast to me it does.

Its really just a matter of perspective. I think the example you gave of middle school- high school is fairly accurate. In high school I also though the workload was fairly difficult, I would make excuses to not do things so i could 'study'.

But in reality, you probably don't have THAT much homework. When you are in college or working a full-time career your free time is limited. In high school you have the time do the fun little things like build a rail and hit it. You might as well take advantage of that now, because you might not be able to later.

Yes you have 'new' responsibilities and pressures, but welcome to life.
 
Tell your mom to

1. Fuck off

Then move out, drop out of school and get a job

2. With money from that job, you can now pay rent, food, car, gas, insurance, ski pass

3. You win

Tanner didnt finish high school. Fuck it
