Got a bud who wants to start skiing, hes like 5'5 105 pounds. Hes just starting out so he probably won't go in the park for a bit as he wants to learn how to ski hills and whatnot too.

For an all-around all mountain ski which one is better? Especially for learning how to ski (manueverability). We're in ontario, so its basically just icey groomers.

i would alost reccomend non twins to learn on. i started that wway and was able to really learn how to carve, the ski swith, the carve switch and hit up jumps and such. all without twin tips.
 
if he is just starting just have him get a pair of cheaper decent skis, then that way if he likes skiing he can get a new pair.
 
Yeah I did suggest that. I know starting out is going to b e hell on that, but his parents are thinknig of buying skis as a one time thing, so its eithe he gets non-twins and sticks with them for a long time or gets twins and try to learn the hardw ay. Hes jobless right now and won't have one for a while. Im a ski instructor so i'll help him out as much as I can, but i already see the problems that he'll have in learning with twins.
