Mods are taking over NS.

um, yeah... lately the mods have been way to active and strict. Threads are getting deleted left and right over shit that isn't even that bad. wft??? I liked the anything goes NS better.
 
they keep deleting all my posts in the hot girl thread (which is gay). But other than that they do a good job. If your thread was deleted for seemingly no reason, then its probably just because it was really pointless.
 
none of my stuff gets deletes, its just like whenever there is an argument, or someone disses a company, product, person, the thread is deleted.
 
You can't please everyone, any of the time. If we let things go, stupid bullshit threads, spam, hate, and a thousand other things make this site suck balls and everyone whines "OOOOOH NS IS GOING DOWNHILL, IT USED TO BE SO GOOD BUT NOW IT'S SO FULL OF STUPIDITY AND HATE". Then when we take steps to make it better by deleting the trash and banning the people who make the site worse, everyone moans and complains about "WHERE'S MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH, QUIT BEING SUCH NAZIS, I LIKED THE ANYTHING GOES NS BETTER".

Whatever.
 
wow son, just cause i'm not a mod like you doesn't mean you have to hate when someone says the mods are deleting too many threads. I mean seriously the other day, there were like five threads in a row that were deleted in like the span of an hour.
 
Phil isn't a mod. Are you kidding? Like that'd ever happen.

The fact that skiierman whored his way to 20,000 posts alone, and the fact that people cared enough to make 4 threads about it, is offensive enough to warrant deletion.

Hahahha... every single time this happens this comes up. You're right JD, people constantly bitch about how much crap is on NS, and then when the crap gets deleted they bitch about free speech. Pretty hard to find a common ground...

Lets try this nazi shit for a bit and see what happens... if NS becomes a better place then great! If not, then fuck it we'll let you guys tear each other apart.

I think more people are happy though when threads are getting ruthlessly deleted. Sure it pisses of a few people who want to be really loud about it, but we want quality skiing discussion here right?

 
With all due respect, blow it out your ass.

People complained about lack of moderation, there werent enough mods for the number of 13 year olds posting shit, so it had to be balanced out. Now there are more, they are more active, and the job is being done. It needs to be this way to cut down on the amount of bullshit. Now stop, your only creating more bullshit.
 
I'm not trying to be a dick or cause problems, but what is the difference between spamming and representing something??

like what is going to get you banned and whats okay??

Posting a thread about well known people dying on the slope as a joke and then arguing with a mod about why it should be allowed caused that person to get banned. Then someone else posting private messages with a mod about that thread, out of context, is another reason for another banning.
 
What about being banned merely for posting up a DOPE new collab from 4bi9, peace coast, and ATA?? Sometimes this site makes me wonder..........
 
pretty sure it wasn't about that thread but other ones, that guy knew his thread was too much . and the other wasn't as out of context as you have been made to believe.
 
The whole conversation is posted in mod forum. I'm thinking Ryan's having a shitty day or something.

You have a very poor sense of humor to suggest that mods should add to your threads about a pro dying to give the rumor credibility. It's not funny! If my kid got a hold of that thread at least I could have told him it was a joke. Anthony's poster is over his bed - he literally looks up to him. Thats not fair to the other thousands of kids.

Find other things to joke about.

 
I'll REALLY admit that we need to create an actual honest-to-god list of rules for the forums...

That way mods and posters alike won't have to guess what should be deleted and what shouldn't... though I guess there's going to be a lot of stuff that is very grey area and totally subjective.

What do you guys think, if you had to start putting rules for what should/shouldn't fly on NS what would they be?

 
What about like in my sig, its a joke from a movie, its not to degrade a race or anytihng. But i also dont see how you guys say your deleting stupid posts but this fidel dude or phil or whatever his name is, said suck my dick, i dont see how that stayed or how that is helping out the forums?
 
hooooly shit, how many fucking times do i have to say it wasn't about the fucking Anthony B thread. that one was too fucking much. i dont see how you cant see that i konw that, i say it a thousand times, i was saying other threads, like say TANNER HALL CAB 10's CHADS GAP! OMGZ. theres alwasys huge arguements about shit LIKE that. a mod should egg it on cuz its ridiculous.

how about when refering to a direct quote form a book by a black women? because honistly there are some great quotes in "their eyes were watching god." but they use varing forms of the word that starts with n and rimes with tigger in every sentince.
