Mod bans

I remember seeing a picture of ElGato's mod notes a few weeks back. It said he banned himself so, why not?
 
Gato banned himself when he was drunk once, so it can happen. Mods are just the people the website trusts, so they never put themselves in situations where they should be banned
 
to get banned form newschoolers you have to be pretty dumb, especially if you do something to get permabanned.
 
not saying this isn't true, i just wonder why you'd say something like that ? after all you've had 2 bans ....
 
What about it you ask to be banned? I've never had to be banned, but I've asked for it a few times because of school and stuff... Haven't people done that before the became mods?
 
If I got banned, especially if I was a mod this would be my reaction:

Being banned by request and getting banned because you lose your privilege are completely different. And your notes will say "Banned by request" thus making it null.
 
My first ban was for I think was a really stupid reason. I posted "Today OP was not a fa*****" without the stars. I got banned for complementing OP!
 
it's only ok if you're implying that today the OP wasn't a bundle of twigs, otherwise you're using a homophobic slur which we don't really like ....
