To all you mobile phone wizards out there I have a few questions. i am trying to decide between the evo4g on sprint or the apple iPhone 4 on att. with att i can afford a mere 200 mb of data but with sprint i can get a fully unlimited plan and another 100 minutes for roughly the same price. Now my question is what are peoples experiences with the Evo 4g and could i possibly put my iTunes library onto the Evo 4g? (I dont buy my music from itunes but i import it in and once its in their big brother code rapes the fuck out of any files in iTunes. Is there a way i can take the DRM code off my itunes library. about 5 gb and put it in my Evo. I am looking for a ohone with good music too because my ipods are all breaking and blowing dick.

but srsly i cant help :(

i'd go with the evo, but then again I might be biased because I carry one. I've had an iphone and they suck. the iphone is only 3g, you can't get an extra battery for it (which you will want with a smart phone because they all suck juice like a mother fucker), it's slower, and it's got a smaller screen. mus

you shouldn't have any problems putting music on it from itunes. i just dumped my music folder from my itunes library in to the music folder on my evo. taa daaa. done. (99% of my music isn't purchased through itunes and is instead just loaded in to itunes from other sources.)

get an evo, root it, pick out the rom that most suites your needs, download wireless tether, rom manager, titanium backup, netflix, and enjoy having one of the most solid devices on the market right now.

it won't be hard to put music onto the evo from your itunes, just google it. but i know for a fact that the evo 4g gets terrible battery life, so be ready for that. like if you use it decently it will last half a day

on the evo...you have to root the phone first. then you have to select a rom that does what you want it to. there's a million different ones out there. start with a basic one and get learn the ins and outs of your phone. you should be able to read a little bit about each one on xda-devlopers.com before you flash it to your phone. get one that supports wireless tethering (most should).

then all you need to do is download a free app called wireless tether. easy as that. super handy for road trips....cruising down the interstate with full web access on the laptop. you'll also want to download netflix (if you have netflix). it's the shit.

go to xda and read, read, read, read, read. there is soooo much information out there. you can pretty much do ANYTHING with your phone that you could ever possibly think of. some scary shit, too.

all right thanks is there any risk of bricking the phone when i do all this? and if so how could i get it unbricked

yep. there is a risk you could brick it in which case there is nothing you can do. doubt your local sprint tech would be smart enough to know though. you can also fuck it up a loy of other ways, too. i'd save copies of your original sysrem, radios, etc. at least then you've got a chance at recovery if something goes wrong. you should also download titanium backup and make backups before you ever start flashing any major changes once rooted. go to xda and read. the more you research before yoy start, the less the chance is that you'll fuck something up in the process. sorry for the lack of paragraphs...on my evo.
