alright, im totally stuck on which to get.. i would get the mo ship flite in a 162 or msp in a 160 and i live in NH so its east coast but i want a wider ski and it would be a park and pow ski so i dont need 2 pair.. help me out, i've researched them and just cant pick.. any past experiences would be good (unless you have flites since they just came out)

I ski the MSP, its amazing. Seriously one run on the , gave me the gitters. 'I was like this is the best ski ever'. So i'm totally stoked on them. Definetly center mount them. Especially if you ride the east.

i was torn between thos exact same two. i went with the msp tho and i am super happy about. but i dont thik u could really go wrong with either of them

well the mo ship is a lot fatter than the msp and im not sure if i want a ski the big for park but it would give me a lot of statibility but does anyone know the weight ratio between the 2?

its your choice but the msp is great for all around every thing. get your skis center mounted so that way u have an even swing weight. the msp is super stable and light for how big of a ski it is. good luck

pray for snow

the moship flite is so fucking light its ridiculous. i couldnt even believe it when i picked them up.

you guys are retarded for centermounting skis...if you ever want to ride them outside the park, like MAKING TURNS or SKIING POWDER its going to be a bitch if they are centermounted...

msps, lines eitehr delam or break in one month, and even if you get a warrenty on them, you still need to wait 3 weeks to get your new skis.

i've done it, its not fun

plus my 180 msps are the most stable ski ive ever skied on ever

^^yes, better..

line will warranty for rider abuse (depending on what kind) up to standards that i would think wouldnt come CLOSE to 4frnt's

if you transplant a p in there for the f in flite.

ok, heres the full breakdown, to solve all your problems:

the Mo ships are your traditional line ski, just fatter. they are more symetrical than the MSP, which means they will ski switch better. they have extruded bases, which suck. they are slow, a bitch to wax, and soft. they also have your standard edge. they are solid skis though. they are a good bit softer than the MSPs.

the MSP is, in my opinion, a better ski. i have been riding my stls for about 2 weeks straight now, and i love them. they build quality on 4frnts is really top notch. anyway, the msp is quite a bit different fromt the mo ships. for one, its alot stiffer. it is also rediculously light. the bases on the 4frnts are top notch and super deep (i hit a rock or something, and somehow it wasnt a core shot. the scratch would have been core on any other skis.) anyway, prolly the biggest differnce between the skis is the sidecut. while the lines have a wide tip and tail, the 4frnts dont. they use a pin tail shape, similar to a lot of dynastars. this means the tail is alot skinnier than the nose. this makes the ski amazingly stable. however, it does inversily affect switch preformance, but with a centermount, you would not notice much, because, noones switch skiing technique is as good as thier regular.

So anyway, my vote is the MSP. the titanium mo ship is prolly more comparable, but they have very different sidecuts. that, and build quality are the real big differences

again....why would you want to centermount a powder ski?

MSP is an all-mountain twin. And NewSchool, I doubt 4FRNT needs to warranty rider damage because their skis are so bombproof. 2 years is better than 1.

^im not really using it for powder but i still wouldnt mount it center..

^^i know extruded sucks and that the edges arent anything special but i think the mo ship is a better decision cause its cheaper while still being a great ski.. all the msp has on it is stiffer, sidecut (in some respects), and a little more durability for like $150 more

if i were going to get the MSPs, i would probably get last years since of my money bind.. so whats the difference between last years and this years msps?

nothing. but your i dont think youll be able to find them. if your just skiing park, and east coast ridding, i would check out the stls too. yeah, they are way more park specific, but they are still reasonably wide, ride very well (the tips are soft, but the ski is rock solid underfoot, it really surprised me). plus they are cheaper. and like he said, you can just feel the difference in build quality. the 4frnts are such a solid ski, its amazing. the p tex sidewalls are all that they are hyped up to be. super durable.

Ryno, you must be a real bad skier, center mounting you skis doesn't make them any harder to ride outside the park.

As far as which ski to pick I would deff. get the lines. Lines have real high grade edges, and they have an excellente core. Plus 4Frnt is kinda gay, kinda real gay.

stls are too park specific for me, i demoed them and they were sticks of shit out on the groomers

They are pretty different skis. The MSP is way stiffer than the Flight. I ski the 182 Titanium which I chose over the close second 187 MSP. But as far as park goes you would be way better off with the Flight cuz its softer.

^^ i wouldnt say that, i ride centered msp 180s in teh park. most stable ski ive ever been on, plus its a nice ski to spin with

NewSchool, (I'm not harping on you, I'm just responding), 4FRNT edges are rockwell edges, measure them, they are the thickest in the industry. And with PTex sidwalls you gain a great advantage over ABS or capped. I just don't see what the MoShips have on the MSP's, or any 4frnt for that matter. I traded in my PE's for STLS and couldn't be happier!

^maybe you whould check out the 'Liberty vs. Line Compared Fairly' thread, because judging by that thread, all Line skis have rockwell edges.. i know that the mo ship flite doesnt have the hardest rockwell but thats just so they can lower the price

when you are sure you will never ski something deeper than 2 inch, you can centermount your ski... and it's not harder to turn on the groomed when you know how to ski...

im a bad skier?...then why would the normal mounting spot be farther back...if it makes no difference why not centermount all skis, but i guess you know best

MSP! the mothershit flites are shit, they bend in every way possible, my shop only sells the 162 because they dont make a titanium in that size, their bad, titanium maybe, but not the flite. go MSP.

ive ridden both of them, and would have chosen the moship. the sidecut of the msp makes it a very special ski. i noticed it was alot harder to master basic turning etc on groomers compared to the lines.

^Sorry you boys are having such a hard time with groomers!

Anyway, NewSchool, it states they are the thickest in the catalog, and if you measure them it comes out like this:

4FRNT: 2.5 mm

LINE: 2.2 mm

Armada: 2.2mm
