yeah, i was gonna say that^. and actually, 4frnts edges arnt the thickest. ive looked at them next to chronics, and they are the same width, but the line edges are taller. but i will say the ptex sidewalls are a great plus. they are super stron (mine have no chips or slices), and they are light. 4frnts are pretty much lighter than any other ski in thier sizes.

but they have bases deeper than the altantic. i hit a huge rock, and the scratch was humungous, but not a core shot. i was seriously impressed.
