There's an opportunity to build a snowboard/newschool ski summer training facility in Minneapolis, MN -- but the city needs to know there is demand.

Water ramps let you practice real freestyle tricks off real jumps with real skis/snowboards on, but instead of an icy landing, you'll land in water. Try the trick you've always wanted without worrying about hurting yourself. A snowboard/newschool specific water ramp would be the first of its kind in the nation.

You shouldn't have to fall 20 times on an icy jump to learn a 540. We've got to prove that there is a need. Please help us build a snowboard water ramp in Minnesota giving us your feedback. Forward it to your friends. Rally together and get this built! Thanks!
 
Indoor park would be fun, I guess...but you'd still have to land on icy jumps. So you still can't progress as fast. And no one would use it in the winter. We're not in Japan. I'd rather just go to Mt. Hood for summer riding -- and judging by the price to build an indoor park, a trip to Hood would cost about the same as the indoor lift ticket.
 
so who do we contact about this to rally it up? phone numbers? email address? if you want somthing like this done you usually need to hassel people about it, so who do we hassel? spreading the word only gets you so far!
 
steve...i love you but......you are a dumbass. i would take something that COULD possibly happen vs. something rather far fetched(though they have talked about putting a ski dome thing at that viking complex in blane if that ever gets approved)
 
she's probably implying that japanese people are into all the tech shit and would probably rather use a indoor place then drive really far to go to a mountain.

sounds crazy to me.

i would rather be able to jump then rail. i already do that enough.
 
reality of an indoor ski area here. bunny hill and one shit rail. but damn i hope thats not what will happen.
 
right you are. A while ago, didn't they said it'd be a bunnyhill, one intermediate run and a small park. Probably with little stuff for beginners. But it looks like they've killed the indoor ski hill for whatever reason.

An indoor park would suck, we wouldnt be the only ones using it, and it sure as hell wouldnt be made just for jibbing. 90% of the genaral public cannot freestyle ski or snowboard. They would most likely build two runs, a really long one for everyone, and one that's about half as long as hyland. and we have all been to hyland on a sunny 40 degree saturday. it's fucking nuts, now imagine that inside.

why would the MOA want to invest money in something that is going to bomb? your ultimate respinse is "it won't bomb, i'll go everyday!" well im sorry but the MOA is not going to invest millions of dollars to supply 30+ kids who claim they will go everyday.

a water ramp is cheaper, easier to run, and less of an insurance risk.

im not trying to be a dick, but people need to open their eyes, and look at things from a bussiness/financial aspect.

in summation, i agree a water ramp would be sick. I will also spread the word.
 
For sure a water ramp would be way better than an indoor hill cause it would be packed and gay as hell and it cost 375 million dollars just to build. Think what it would cost but ill go for ramps anyday so ill spread the word for sure
 
yeah i have been meaning to get them too you, i am calling my dad too see if he has them in his car because they were still in my van when i went to canada. i am almost positive that he is bringing them back though
