The First Annual Minnesota King of the Hill shop wars competition will be
held during Wild Mountain's 31st annual Demo Days and Winter Welcome on
Saturday, Nov. 17th. Demo Days runs from 10 am to 3 pm, with the
competition happening at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
Wild's Demo Days and Winter Welcome has long been the unofficial beginning
of Winter for the Midwest's skiers and snowboarders, with Reps from all
major ski and snowboard brands coming to let people test out the newest
equipment. That makes this event the perfect time to crown Minnesota's
best Shop Teams and Riders for the 2007-2008 Season.
The competition will have ski and snowboard divisions, with a winning ski
team and snowboard team, each receiving a traveling trophy. A team must
have a minimum of 3 riders and a maximum of 6. A rider's highest scored
run will count as his/her score, and a team score will be the average of
the 3 top individual scores from the team. The teams will judge each
other, which will be explained the day of the event. The entry fee is
$5/rider with a maximum fee of $30/shop (per shop, not per team).
All riders on the roster will receive free lift tickets the day of the
event.
Following the crowning of Minnesota's Kings of the Hill at the awards
ceremony, Wild Mountain will rock with Live Music. Some of the areas best
local bands will give awesome performances to top off this amazing day.
Look for the Public Announcement coming soon for the band roster.
With all of the Shops, all of the brand Reps, ALL of the State's Best
Riders, and the area's best Live Music all gathering, competing, and
performing in one place on one day, this event will quickly become an
annual pilgrimage for Shops, competitors and spectators alike. Don't miss
out on the chance to have your Shop be the first name on the traveling
trophy.
