marquette mountain hosts the best rider run comps in the midwest hands down, it will be worth the drive. Ill be there riding if I can swing it with work, short notice.

and the best riders in the midwest on the burliest setups, with cash at stake.

Croney, we support your cause no dizzout.

Ever hear of a little thing called superpark? Same people running the thing.

Yea everyone supports the cause of a any railjam, no one is against the cause of anything, its just unrealistic for us to drive 8 hrs to go to it, but good luck, im sure itll be a sick rail jam

im pretty sure the marquette team is planning on driving 8 hours to an event at my hill, hell i think two or three of em? midwest extreme, snowcoupons jam, and tyrol spring jam

yea but they are a team, i think its much easier makin trips when your part of a team thats all goin, and i will make the drive for bigger events like in the srping

man u fuckers are some bitches dude just asked a question and stated a fact that it isnt worth the 8 hr drive for a shity rail comp its funny cause u are the same faggots talkin bout be nice cause your vaginas hurt all the time

i say a lot of shit; some times i regret it(not usually)THIS IS NOT one of those times, i think it is funny how only certain people are allowed to talk shit just cause i say shit in less words and get to the point quicker mine is worse. and i never talk shit unless i recieve it first those are the facts i dont even know the person who asked the question but i know he deserved more respect than he recived

word dude i get you, im just saying now that i am hosting my own event....and after hearing people complain for years about the prizes for skiers at events.....bitching and talking people out of going doesnt help anything.

People like croney and myself who put in all this work and get nothing out of it in the end need all the help and support we can get, anything negative just makes us not want to do it, and then everyone would complain about that too.

So bottom line, if you dont want to go to a rail jam/think its too far/too weak/too lame/ whatever.......just keep it to yourself and let the organizers try to get something cool going for those who do want to go.

dude they said they would want to go if it wasnt that far away for an early season comp. if it was a comp with the whole park up and shit then im sure a lot more people would make the trek. not hating just saying thats probably where people are coming from

i support any ski-oriented get together because skiing with other people is nice. by the way, i will probably (pending) be at that, helmet?

seems like people are hating on us thinking we dont support the ski comps and such. it just kinda seems like bs to me.

chill dude, nobody is hating. All I'm saying is in this aspect, when its your fellow riders putting on comps and working for free to make it happen keep it positive. Bitching just sets the stage for no early season comps, so if you dont like it, dont want to go, etc.....just dont. No need to call it gay, lame or anything else.

Keep it positive when its your fellow skiers putting on events for other skiers, thats all.

and to thatoneguy, sorry if were comin off as negative, we, or at least i, do support everything you guys do with holding comps and working to get events happening, didnt mean to be negative, will be there for all other comps later in the year, good luck with the event, sound sick

seriously you fuckin hippocrit, how are you helping out the scene of the midwest by blowing "kids" off when they ask about information on events. just answer people when they ask about events. That way, more people will know about them. What happens then, is that more people will go to them. And then that way you will be helping out the Midwest scene by having successful comps and events that are positive that many riders go to. Not by preventing people from going to events by being a dickhead about providing information about the events in the first place, and yea i know its on midwestskier in the first place, but why not just fuckin answer people at least briefly about events when they ask

nobody was bitching or called it gay, lame or anything else. and dont tell me to chill out when im perfectally calm

yea ask anyone who knows me, never talk shit in my life, always pretty positive, barely even talk shit back to kids; think its a waste of time, but your a fuckin joke

back to thatoneguy, yea the last thing you need when ur trying to put on events and comps is kids bitchin online about prizes and shit, when your (thatoneguy) tryin to put the event on for the kids that are bitchin, so dont bitch about prizes or setups or whatever, be thankful that guys are putting time into organizing events for you. and again, we, or i, werent tryin to be negative, but simply can not drive that far for that event, props to those who can

To help the Children of NS (newschoolers) out here is the Lesson of the day.

The Midwest Extremes is a Ski & Snowboard competition held at MM (Marquette mountain) in lovely Marquette, MI. There are 3 events Skier/Boarder Cross and for your switch skiing pleasure there will also be a switch skier cross (Going backwards on those funny looking skis with two tips. Slopestyle, which is everyone’s favorite competition. Big Air what a fun event people hucking them self off of a jump at night to an ice Midwest landing sure hope everyone has good knee’s.

The Midwest Extremes / BRO-Down / SHO-Down is just one of many big competitions held at MM. Midwest Super park is also held at MM on April 1st and 2nd this will be the 3rd year that MM has had the Midwest super park. I’m sure the name says enough I don’t need to go in to detail on this event children. Mr. Croney and Steve Shelby in the Sno-Cat put on all these events at MM. And the MM AFFILIATES. MM has one of the Biggest and best parks in the whole Midwest if you don’t believe the hype go see for your self and be amazed!

In the past the Midwest Extremes has been one of the bigger competitions in the Midwest along with a couple other ones at other resorts such as. MSO2, 3, & 4 which where held at Spirit Mountain Put on by Mr. Paul Prins the MSO’s are being put on hold for a couple years well Mr. Prins is in college. The Hoot en anny was held at Boyne Mountain the last couple years and put on by the schrab brothers Like & Adam when it first started the Hoot en anny was held at Devils head resort which is where the Schrab brothers grew up skiing I believe. Also at Boyne Highlands ever spring there is an event called the Spring Board Meeting. Midwest massacre was held at Buck Hill last year put on by Doug Herman I’m not sure if this is happening again this year. 2006 Midwest Open is held at Cascade Mountain the events are Super pipe and Rail Competition. March 3rd to the 5th.

That’s all for today’s lesson kids!! Just remember the word of the day is MM and what does that mean kids?? “Marquette Mountain” Have a wonderful day!!!!

Midwest Extremes is Sponsored By MM AFFILIATES, Salomon, Nitro, Dynastar, and Armada

I appreciate all the defense some of you are shouting, and I appreciate the support all you are spouting.

I ask those who are not willing to drive 8 hours for a contest. WHY NOT?

Myself, Steve Shleby and 6 other riders drove 2 cars down to the Flying penguin rail jam and it was 9 hours for us because we didn't know it was an hour south of the cites, but we still would have done it and it was a great time to slide 1 rail.

I am offering 3 different rails to slide this weekend.

We drove the 8 hour drive 2 times last season, (GLX, MIDWEST MASS) and I have already driven to Minneapolis 4 times this year twice to ski (Pineskis, Hoigards show, Sportsmart show, and Flying Penguin)

ANd SHleby was inches away from driving again for that little Jam DOug put on for the snowboarders/ski invite.

We WILL be making the drive again for MIdwest MASS, and for anything else you put on down there. WE ARE DETERMINED TO SKI EVERY DAMN EVENT POSSIBLE< EVEN IF IT MEANS DRIVING 14hours to OHIO

Hope you change your minds

i like the attitude of hitting every event in the midwest, i just have act classes saturday that i cant skip, not that i dont want to, thanks for the info on midwest extreme etc

act classes don't help very much. you're better off reading a bunch of novels because it's all about speed reading.
