doesnt football have 10 home games per year? Baseball has 81. so... one home game doesnt mean shit. And ^ yea, it would almost have to be sold out.

PNC park has a max capacity 38,496 and yes the allstar game was sold out to 38496+ standing room. but, yes heinz fiel has a capacity of like 71,000 but what does that have to do with anything, baseball stadiums are smaller then football stadiums, oh yeah and by the way the pirates suck that is why no one goes to see them

Woah, dont jump to conclusions there. yes, you won the superbowl, but think about it. the steelers didnt even win their division, they were in second to the bengals. also, there are alot more good teams that will be as good as, if not better than the steelers. there are the panthers, colts, bengals, broncos, and the patriots.
and i didnt watch the game, but from what i saw of highlights, michael young is so clutch.

Uhh yes they all the Steelers playoff wins were luck. Would have lost if Palmer hadn't gotten injured, so lucky that the Colts DB ran right at Ben and not to sideline and a touchdown, got lucky that the Broncos played their worst game of the year, and the Seahawks just got completely screwed by the refs in the Super Bowl.
And if most consistent in most recent years you mean the last two then yes. Three years ago they were 6-10. Not very good.

First off, I don't know how a baseball thread can turn into a football thread. Good stuff kids.
Next, combine the records of teams over the past 5 regular seasons, and the Steelers (55-24-1) are second only to the Patriots (58-22). That's a real damn impressive record if you ask me. And don't argue with me by saying that they had a losing record in 2003 so they can't possibly be considered consistent, becuase the Patriots are the only team in the NFL to have a winning season in each of the past 5 years.
Third, you can't possibly be trying to say that 4 playoff road victories were blind luck. I won't hear it, because that's possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Did you ever stop to think that "the Broncos played their worst game of the year," because the Steelers were at the top of their game? There's two teams in every game, asshole. and Hoffman is arguably the best closer in baseball that is playing right now, and only should be compared to Mariano Rivera. If he pitched the whole plate, he probably would have saved the game. Young is so clutch with that triple. On with the baseball theme, I'mglad that Troy Glaus made up for his horrendous home run derby outing with that clutch ground rule double, and subsequent winning run. The Jays had a great representation in the game, with BJ Ryan getting the victory, Vernon Wells with his basehit and cannon to home plate for the out, and of course Glaus.
And Guerrero's home run was phenominal.
Lastly, I was so happy to see Roberto Clemente honoured. He is a true legend, and has always been a hero of mine.

And consistency would be that every year a team is one of the best in the league. A 6-10 season is not consistency. That record puts them in the bottom third of the league. An off year means you are not consistent.

trust me, there is no one on this site who hates the steelers more than me, they fucking run their mouths all the goddamn time and don't back it up (a la against the patriots a number of times, but I don't want to start another argument so don't even try lanks)That being said what championship team didn't have some luck on their side in order to win a championship? They won it, it's over, they're champions and right now no one is better until they are dethrowned (man that was hard to say)

As far as the Bengals being up 10-0 when he got injured you are right I was wrong. The reason is that I was not able to watch that game because I was making the 12 hour drive back to college that day. But the Begals did finish that drive with a touchdown and were up 10-0 at one point. So my argument holds.

1. actually your argument does not hold, because you claimed that the steelers "got lucky because carson palmer got injured"...but obviously if they were up 10-0 they must not have been too inable to win the game, and the fact that carson palmer wasnt active really isnt relevant.
2.How are you judging that they played badly? if it was a close game (which it was) then the performance must have been somewhat equal. And even if they played less than what the standard of bronco football is considered to be, your game to game performance doesnt vary by THAT much..consider the fact that the steelers have a dank defense

i meant in the afc east and dont forget about the iron curtain. yeah, they werent that good for a few years in between but they usually do pretty well.
