I sure hope Tim Lincecum is back. He pitched the greatest game he has had in a very long time. 7.2 IP 11K and 1 ER. I love it. Hopefully it keeps up. Let Timmy Smoke!

not much of a baseball fan but that picture of the tigers in their jump suits they travel in makes me lol. very cocky for a team that chokes miserably in the post-season.

I like baseball , but they don't show much games where I'm from since the Expos moved , and I don't know much about it either , how do I go about choosing a team and following them or whatever ?

well you should either root for the Jays, since their Canadas team, or the Nats, since they used to be the Expos. or both since their in different leagues.

^don't listen to him. rooting for the Jays would be like joining forces with Leafs fans.

Just watch a few games with some random teams on vipbox.tv and see if you enjoy anything you see.
 
I somewhat wish they'd push an Atlanta-Boston rivalry a little more. The Braves were the first Boston team, and pretty much every big thing about the Red Sox...was stolen from the Boston Braves. Everything right down to the "retro" stuff they do at Fenway and most places these days. (stuff like hanging pennants, flags etc) Hell, even the red colored socks that wound up becoming their namesake were stolen from the Braves.

maybe it's a little too far gone for anyone who doesn't know baseball history too well.
 
If Josh Donaldson isn't the AL starting 3B for the All Star game, it will be utter horseshit.

...another Walkoff win for Oakland.

this is exactly what i called at the start of the season. i think its gonna be a weird wacky year in the AL East. i think itll be the jays and O's battling it out for the division

Technically, no. The Mariners are 3rd in the Wild Card behind the Orioles - by like .001% winning percentage haha.

Speaking of run differential... somebody just look at the standings and check out Oakland's for a second. It's well over twice that of any other team in the league. This shit is downright hilarious.

Take the 4 teams with at least 35 wins so far this year.

Giants + Blue Jays + Brewers run diff = 121

Oakland Athletics = 118

I mean, good god damn... the A's are a 3 run homer behind the total of those three hahaha.
 
it's about time Toronto does well. You guys have been starting this thread every year for like what, 5 years? And the op was always a claim that the jays were gonna win it all. Then they'd finish last....every time.

been a strange season for the Sox. Apparently we can no longer split a series. Either sweep or be swept.

Draft starts tonight , a good friend of mine is placed as 4th best highscooler prospect in Canada and 8th in north america.

he's 1 year younger than american highschoolers because of our 11 year program (it's 12 in the us) so he might get drafted next year , but it's so crazy to think that he will be offered a drafting bonus ranging from 100K to 4M at 16 years old.

pro sports are crazy
