So I need some new gloves, and I'm not sure if it makes a difference to any tricks but regardless I mine as well ask newschoolers... What is better? Mitts or Gloves? +K for the help!!!!

I find there is a negative and positive to both sides,

mittens keep my hands warm as fuck, Where my pipe gloves, kept my hands warm (i have no clue how) but i was able to have free movement with my hand however i wanted. I used to love pipe gloves but didn't feel like dropping $60 so I heard all the hype with mittens a saw a pair of kombis or something for 15 bucks so i grabbed them. I'm SO happy with them, there so warm and super waterproof. And if you have to take your glove of it's about ten times easier then taking off pipe gloves. In my opinion, Mittens are deffenetly the way to go, On thoes warm spring days, who need gloves anyways? Hope this helped man!

Sorry for the double post ,I forgot to add, normal gloves seem to attract more snow and get wet alot easier, don't ask how it just happens.

thanks guys! but on that note anyone have any good brands that make good mitts? btw colors I'm looking for is like purp, pink, or baby blue!! thanks!!

depends on waht u do and live.

if its a warmer climite get a pare of gloves, or if u hike a ton gloves would be my choice.

but it its mostly belove freezing and like below 15 get mitts yull be soo happy and ull laugh at your buds when they need to go in and warm up!

yeah i think im going to go with the mitts but whats the best brands for mitts?? especially purp, baby blue, or pink mitts?

i have mountain hardware climbing mittens and theyre easily the warmest motherfuckers ive ever had...

theyre gray... but warm as tits

Gloves tend to be not as warm but are easier for doing grabs because you can only use 1, 2, or 3 fingers while still remaining in control of you poles. Gloves on the other hands tend to be warmer some people find these easier to use then gloves, it is just personal preference.

The only decent brand I can think of that would have those colors would maybe be Dakine. Try looking at women's mitts for those colors. Burton might make some too but I hate the way they fit. I really like the feel of Swany but I've only seen them in black or grey.

Personally I like gloves, probably cause I just got into hiking a lot, although I carry mitts in my pack for super coldness. Check out POW, they have some pretty sweet stuff.

yup what he said, except i think he meant to say mitts tend to be warmer. If you're a no poler i would say definitely the mitts. I had some Dakine ones that worked great for years. I recently decided to step up my game and switched back to poles so I bought some gloves to make grabs easier. I don't see a problem with owning a pair of each and deciding based on the temps or the type of skiing you plan on doing for the day

This. Although I think you meant that mittens tend to be warmer. If you ski park without poles (like I usually do) there is no reason not to get mittens.
Although I have both. Mittens for cold days and thinner gloves for more warm days. Also the gloves can be made more warm by wearing a thin liner underneath them. Something like this:

Because I had money to spare at the end of last season I bought both mittens and park gloves. They work great

^^^ this. I use big ass mitts with pipe gloves as liners and then just take them off it gets too warm or throw them in my pocket if I need a sticky glove for a grab like a truck driver since my big gloves are leather I can never hold on...

Look at armadaskis.com they have some sweet mitts and pipegloves they are awesome the mittens are made to look like mini boxing gloves just check them out u cant go wrong with armadaq

empire has mitts in blue, and purple, and pipe gloves in pink and blue. ive never used them myself, but my friends say their empire pipe gloves are dope, and the mittens look mad warm.

My hands ARE mitts BIATCHHH!!! hahaha that's what you get for livin through Canadian winters through and through
But yeah, big leather mutts with pipe glove liners, slide em off and throw em in your jacket when you hit the park and just use the liners.
