Misty 5 How To?

I learned on a trampoline when I was like 8 or 9 years old. I couldn't really tell you how I am doing it it is just muscle memory at this point. As you are completing the front you've got to just commit to jerking your hip around.

if you have to jerk anything (lol) you're doing it wrong. imagine rolling on your side over a table in front of you so you land backwards. drop your trailing shoulder to your opposite knee as said, and continue pulling it around until you can spot your landing which should be almost immediately.

Yah I guess I wasn't visualizing it as I typed the response -- maybe I am dropping my shoulder but think I'm twisting my hip instead -- either way it leads to the same thing of the last 180' on the rotation.

What I don't have in my muscle memory is a backflip 180. I fell off my trampoline trying it when I was younger and was too scared to try it again after that.

Take your right hand, and throw it as you would a baseball. Starting from your right shoulder and ending at your left hip/ knee. It's probably the easiest trick one could do on a trampoline.

If throw your shoulder to the opposite knee. Like if you're spinning left, throw your right shoulder to your left knee. Then you're going to want to try to look up at the sky, and that will bring your legs around. Land switch.

Do an over flip and focus on bringing your shoulder down and your hips up. I only do 'em on trampolines, but you should learn them there first.

As you pop off the jump (make sure you pop) set forward like a front flip, but drop your shoulder and look up to the sky, letting your feet come over your head. then spot the landing as your feet come over your head. Look uphill and stomp. if you can front flip, you can misty 5

I did my first solid misty's by throwing the flip off of my right foot, so i would lift my left foot, having my right foot leave the ground last, while throwing myself forward at the same time. t'was sick. i have yet to do one this year.

I feel like there's a lot of bad advice in this thread. You want to pop off both feet evenly up, then act like you're rolling over a barrel or table that's above you. If you do it right you should be able to spot the ground for most of the trick to get the timing right. you can easily practice them by doing half of the trick to your back and bouncing up on a tramp or just rolling into it on the ground.
