MISTY 5 fall warm up

I think a lot of you should learn misty or Cork first as they are a nice intro to flipy spinny tricks. Both have safe half way points so if you freak out your not going to have a session ender like a underflip or a Rodeo.
For misty its fun to teach because its got small steps up the learning curve.
1) Know what the trick looks like first.
2) remember misty to the knee. So thats taking your right fist and throwing it to the out side of your left knee and looking over your left shoulder.
3)Now there are many ways to practice but one thing I know works with a lot of kids is the bed trick. make sue your bed is not up agenst the wall or a king size. Tell your parents I said Its cool because its a safe way to practice. 1) stand at the side of you bed in your sweet ski gear and gogs(no boots). looking across the bed, the other side is the landing and your on the take off. The bed is Sweet air time
2) roll over into bed (DONT JUMP) throwing your right fist to the outside of your left knee.
3) you should be lying on your back in a sweet balled up position now and you head on the pillow in its norm spot chin tucked in(your spine running up the mid of the bed). with your toes up to the roof and the bottom of your feet facing the end of your bed. this would be about what you look like at the apex or half way through you air
4)Now keep looking left over your shoulder and pull your feet to the floor on the landing side of your bed. when your feet touch the floor make sure there shoulder width apart and now you should be facing your take off on the other side of the bed.
this is a good way to warm up misty in your head and let you feel the trick with out air
any Q

this is for spinning Right, right? so if i'm spinning left i just use opposite hands and legs of what you just said?

If i wanna bring it to 7, do i throw it differently. Cause i was watching the new poor boyz movie nad tanner does a real sick misty 7mute that i wanna try. do you throw your head like more under or something casue i dont wanna do am misty 5 to boner 180 you know?

oh man thats not jump thats a bump. your going to need a real table for that. but HELL ya you got the trick. never do that again. tell your hill that jump needs to be bigger, 3 times long by 2 high

hahaha ya, they have some bigger kickers but only 25 and a 40, so I decided that I would take my chances on a bump rather than 25ft kicker, lol

get confotable on the bigger jump b4 you try this again. the 25 footer will give you time and the air you need. plus the bigger the jump the bigger the landing and hopefully steeper-steeper means less inpact. not like landing on the flat like in that vid.

Im confident doing them off a 4 foot drop and on tramps annd all that good stuff but how different is it with skis on?

So I want to try these tomorrow and I ca do them off drops and on a tramp but I was wondering how much difference the weight of skis and boots make and if there is anyway to overcome this added weight

You're going to notice it a little bit, but it's not going to be something that should affect anything. It just takes a little getting used to and the only thing you can do to do that is just to do it.

im gunna try one next weekend and the only thing im scared about is bailing cuz i got the trick on lock on the tramp. any tips? alsodo i set it harder then on tramp?will a 20ft jump do? (its kicky tho)

i tried all my first ones on this tiny 5 foot jump but it popped like a motherfucker. i ate shit everytime though :(

A 20 footer is perfect. They're not much harder than on a tramp, it's a really easy trick. Just get a good pop, punch a midget or whatever, and hug your knees and keep looking.

hopefully this works, i need speed mostly but i think i almost have it

Little more speed, throw it a tad harder and don't kick out of it early, but you've definitely got the right idea.

I have mistys and corks on lock on tramps the misty I can do from standing no jump with just arm momentum. Do you think they will be to hard for me to learn?
