Mission Ridge park

What are your thoughts on the Mission Ridge park this season? I've talked to the Terrain Park manager and he said it's gonna flow like a skate park. Does anybody know what that means?

That is correct. There are no jams this year. The first event in going to be a "snow skate jam" and the second jam will have a quarterpipe. It should be interesting.

if by interesting you mean completely fucking retarded then yes

the rail jams were the only thing mission had going as far as park, why get rid of them? no one snowskates anyway

I heard at the quarter pipe one they might have a car with a rail on top of it still fucking gay no one at mission has even hit a quarter pipe

seems like you didn't ski when mission's park was good, they had a huge QP with the wallride backing it

Yeah. That was the only good feature in the park. Have they built anything new? I just got back from Canada yesterday.

no clue, i was at stevens from saturday till yesterday

but they got quite a bit of new snow, which means the park should be moving up top real soon (if it hasn't already)

and with that new snow you shouldn't even worry about park, from what my sis said, not many people were up this week, so there should be lots of untracked still. skookum chutes, bowl 4, paradise, and chute 6/7 should all be fantastic right now

I will be up again Tuesday... First tracks in jumpers paradise after a storm is my FAVORITE run! Screw the park when you can jump natural features!

so you are admitting to not know how to ski? (;

i remember thinking "jumpers paradise" was amazing....when I was 8

Haha yeah, I'm a shit skier... Lol not! No, I skied it last year during the big spring storm. That's where I learned my first front and backflip. Lemolo is my favorite actual marked run.

Agreed. I haven't been in jumpers paradise in years. Plus if I'm gonna hit a "natural feature" its gonna be a cliff, snake pit or something like that. Also, the park isn't all bad. It's fun to mess around. Quit be a pussy and man up.

Ouch, callin me a pussy? If I'm not hiking into the backcountry, I like to find some fun stuff inbounds. And yes, cliffs are fun until you nearly kill yourself (me in whistler) or you break gear (my skis in whistler)...

As usual MR park crew is completely garbage. Fuck that mimi shit, its January and the park is still closed. No excuse for that. Its the 21st century and these days kids ski park, the ridge needs to get with the program and build some decent shit.

I was up there last weekend and i wasn't impressed with the park at all. It was set up sort of in the form of a skate park but you couldnt get enough speed for the jumps and the jibs were all off camber and weird. I actually liked the smaller park a lot more.
