Mission Ridge is no longer under the management of Harbor Resorts. It was sold to a man from woodenville. Lets hope this guy manages mission better than harbor did.

I pitty the fool who don't use 1-800 Collect.

thats kinda wierd though, haha. 'Oh yeah, some dude from woodenville just bought a ski resort, no biggy'. Man, if only I could buy Stevens. I would close it indefinately.

yeah there was an email sent out by harbor, i get it cause im subscribed to the snow report. craziness. hopefully the new owners make the improvements that mission needs.

i hear he bought for only about 2.5 million or something. which sounds like a lot but if you consider the fact that there are houses that sell for alot more then that its not verry much for a ski resort

That is nothing for a ski resort, think of all the land that comes with one. I haven't seen Mission Ridge before, but I imagine it's got a lodge alone that costs over a million dollars.

ya it seems as if he got a good deal on the place. im not a real fan of mission ridge but thatd b pretty dope to buy mission ridge

yeah but the stipulations to buy mission were that the owner had to put in a quad where 2 is and expand the resort.. which in itself is a lot of money. plus thats all forest service land so no condos can be put in.

it was in the paper that the guy probably wasn't going to change mission for a while and that he was thinking about putting in a quad.

Mission has some sick lines and good stuff, the lodge is nice, and it is a short drive from wenatchee,it wqould be dope if it had a park and a quad for sure

^^By the way mission is getting a park this year, revolution skate shop built a shit load of rails and i'm told they will have some big booters, they open tomarrow...and no its my home mountain!

 
the park isnt going to be open tomorrow just chair one and 3 are going to be open. when i talked to the guy at revolution he said that they would have atleast 5 big hits and he was talking about 4 boxes i think and also he was saying he wanted to hand dig a pipe i dont if he did or not. but the park size is gonna be 3.5 acres.

i was there today and all they have is 2 rails they dont have any of the jumps built yet. i was disapointed.

ok heres an update for anyone who cares. they have a trapezoid flat bar. a kinked double bar that looks like a shotgun. a high double barel. a medium height flatbar. a teetor toter style double barel rail. a down hill flatbar and a large rail. they havent built any jump yet still. its looking sick.

You guys should see the shotgun rail it looks like an actual gun. It pretty dope. Terry did a sick job on the rails and they are all super smooth

 
yeah that rail was pretty cool looking. the best part of skiing on friday was david nutting himself on the teeter totter. and i just sucked it up on every rail.

anyone know when they are planning on actually making some jumps in the park?

they had one, and it wasnt great...hopefully they can get enough snow soon to do something

 
no they will have snoW, but make sure they keep it flaT, jumps are bad....they will never maek onE

Anybody go down to Arlberg in the last couple days. They have the new K2 line in. My buddy bought the New Seth Pistols and the Public Enemys yesterday.

Why do your skis curve up on both ends?

mission ridge is pretty nice, a good variety of runs, good prices, good snow, SUCKY TERRAIN PARK, 4 chairs...

I was in the petting zoo, or as I like to call it, the touch me zoo this afternoon. All the animals were retarded. Some lady was breast feeding her baby on a bench nearby, an obvious signal. I sat down uncomfortably close to her and yawned my arm around her shoulder. In her attempt to squirm away, she dropped her baby on the ground. I pretended I was concerned for a second, then I punted it over the fence. She still didn't seem interested in me. Whatever.
