Missing Penn State freshman found dead on campus minutes ago.

A freshman went missing after coming home from an on campus frat over the weekend. There's been a huge search operation going on all day with helicopters and such, and as of 7:05 he was found dead in a stairwell or something similar in a lightly traveled area. I find it hard to believe there was no foul play, because I lived in the same dorms as him last year and wouldn't take the route he would have had to take home to end up where he did. i'm also amazed it took them all day to find his body seeing as he was still on campus, right by where he went missing.

My thought and prayers go out to his friends and family. i know his parents came in from Pittsburgh to help look for him, and also put out a 10,000 dollar reward with any information relating to his disappearance. It's kind of been scary on campus today with everything going on, especially over by west halls where the frat is. R.I.P. Joe Dado
 
i live in CT and that same thing happened to a girl that was going to yale. it was all over the news. she entered this building and they never got video of her leaving, then they found bloody clothes and eventually the body. shits fucked up. + vibes to the families involved
 
a kid was found dead in his dorm room, right under my old room last week...he killed himself and they found his body 4 days later...shit sucks
 
this hit me really hard, joe went to latrobe high school with me and although we were not really great friends or anything he was a really great kid.

i didnt know him but i feel horrible for the family and friends, my thoughts and prayers go out the them and joe. his friends gave me a flyer today in the hub.. weird that we were all walking around going to classes and no one had found him til tonight. such a scary thought. rip.
 
yeah, im sitting in the north halls computer lab right now and theres a flyer on the bulletin board. theyre also all over the place. im not sure whether i should take it down or not. i feel bad with it up now that theyve found him.
 
yeah i had notices on facebook about it. thats really a shame. I go up to my brothers apartment off south allen every weekend for home games. Is that near where he was found or was it on the other end of town.

I know, I was just in the Pollock lab and everyone was talking about it..flyers everywhere. Really horrible stuff.
 
I don't want to start spreading rumors, but my roommate was just at the crime scene and talked to the police. They said he was found in the dumpster. There's some fucked up shit going on here.
 
i really hope this tunes down our mentality as a school. i think we try way too hard to keep our name as "number one party school in the nation" but this should definitely be a reminder that we aren't fucking invincible(not saying im not one to party, i just know my limits). something fishy is going on with FIJI i think, and i'll be curious to see how this all turns out.
 
keep us updated on what happens, very sad deal to hear about this...it seems to happen every where though with college kids its terrible...RIP buddy.
 
the real story is he fell down a 15 foot stair case coming home from a frat party last night... my friend was at the party thats what they said
 
My only question is, those are buildings that people use all the time..and the area is really busy, so how the hell did they not find him before that?
 
one of my friends knew him and was frantically posting updates on his facebook all day. really terrible news to hear.
 
just want to say, everyone, be careful. im not entirely sure on all the circumstances but i know joe was alone when this happened and that should have never been that way.
