Missing if3 award

So I won DOTY at if3 last year(humble brag) and obviously I wasn't there cause whatever. So I didn't get my ski. Sometime this spring I got an email from some dude saying the ski was in his office and asking if he should send it out. Hella yeah I responded hoe much to ship that bish to california. And here's where it goes south, duse says it's gonna be 200 bucks to ship it and I don't have any money(I just won an award for skiing not fucking trading stocks right?!?!) and I don't even respond. But now I've been thinking, I want that ski prettty bad but idk where it is, so I figured NS is the only way to go. Anyone know where itcould be?

Well obviously. Left some details out cause I'm getting my drank on, emailed the dude, he didn't answer cause didn't they shut if3 down completely?

Oh yeah that's right. Guess you made the right move making this thread

Lol sad that Jacob cant even get his award, also I feel like they should cover the fucking shipping lol? Also its not $200 to ship a single ski

The most hilarious part about this thread is you're upset about not having an If3 award... you know like the award matters.

Could be.. IF3 is in Canada so you have to deal with international shipping. Then its all the way across the country. I mean I doubt that its $200, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was over $100

Considering it's one of the only places film skiers are recognized with awards, I'd say it matters, especially if you happen to be one of the winners.

Its a cheap ski with a cheap paint job. I think the number of downloads resulting in more profits and sponsorship money is a better award. At least Powder put more than $5.00 into their useless awards.

Sounds like you just don't like awards. Would it make a difference if it was a top of the line ski? It certainly shouldn't. Not really sure why you're hating on the dude for wanting to get his hands on something that commemorates all the hard work he's put into his skiing. Especially when there's only a handful of people in the world who can claim something like that.

LOL you're missing the point. This is the action sports world, awards don't matter.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

The company IF3 is still going on, they're still doing events/premieres, the only that's no longer around is the festival and the awards. And their office is in Montreal, so your award's probably still there.

i mean, i might agree with you to some extent but like it or not, they sorta do matter for some skiers/filmers/companies when they're marketing themselves to consumers or funders. for instance a company like stept writing "award-winning team does blah blah blah"

We made them for years and sent them to IF3..so yes, they are real skis. I would hit up Felix Rioux.
