Missing chunk of edge...

How much does it effect the ski? Im missing about 5 inches of edge underneath the boot. Are the skis still ski-able? How much of a diff will i notice?

i would think that the missing part would just catch and slow that ski down, but i dunno. 5 inches tho? thats a lot. sry to hear it

its called Ptex. I suggest you get like 5 sticks of it and fill that baby up.

ptex wont help becasue its where the edge should be...do what my friend did...replace the 12 inchs underfoot with a steal plate that mounts flush to the ptex on the base so that it slides perfectly...and also it makes mad sparks when u slide rails...

I've seen people replace sections of edge with new sections but that never stands up to any type of abuse, make those your new urbanidontgiveafuckaboutem skis and they will rule

it depends what you ski, it's more of a problem if you do a lot of carving and stuff, but if you're a park rat i don't know how much it will effect your skiing

 
try to get a new pair on warranty sometimes it works have someone who's not hard core bring them in so it doesnt seem like rail damage
