Miss the midwest..

dont know how many of you would recognize my name on here or at the hill these days. but i used to work at wild and be pretty involved with the midwest ski scene..

unfortunately i now live in CA.

just want to say i miss you guys, the midwest scene and the comradery of it. you dont find it too many places.

The Soccer Mom Mentality in the midwest ski world is ruining the scene. Skiing used to be about fun, now for a lot of people (not all) its about competing in ussa comps.

What I miss is the old days. Two Day Spring Jams at Tyrol, Camping at Nordic Jam. Midwest Massacre, OG MW Superpark Days.

Yeah trying to camp at Nordic last year was interesting to say the least.

miss how the lack of vert and shitty conditions never seemed to affect peoples enthusiasm to ski. Always will love the places with personality, no mega hotels and lack of tourists like bohemia, tyro, buffalo, sunburst... and Chicago style hot dogs

I know how it feels, I live in CO now and ski breck and key all the time but I miss the midwest a ton!
