Misfit skis

are they any good? durability? i kinda dig the weird shape, and the graphics are pretty sick too. i just what to know your guys' thoughts on them
 
I bought a pair of 106s because a close friend is sponsored by them and made them look amazing. They are fun as hell in park and rowdier freeride type situations. Durability is not the best compared to more expensive skis but considering the price they're great skis and conversation starters.
 
they are pretty durable and ski pretty well, def worth it for the price, but this years ski is not anything crazy. I like the tip and tails for grabs and butters, it is useful

They're garbage.

I've ridden their First Year's Misfit 106 and the second year's Misfit 96. I destroyed both of em quickly.

The First Year's 106s were fun, but they kept on breaking on me. I had like 3 heel pieces rip out, and I snapped one tail. They didn't last for an entire season.

The Second Year's 96s ripped out in 5 days of skiing. And I immediately was over it. I got some old Nomads from Jaron Stadler and skiied those for the rest of the season.

Misfit as a company is garbage. Lukas the owner was a dick head the entire time. I did so much free marketing for them with Kit Chat Bars and my own personal brand. But i never got thanks, appreciation, or free gear for it. All I got was Lukas screaming at me over the phone because he listens to anonymous internet haters more than the real life in-person relationship I had with him. Apparently the entire team at Misfits hated me too bc I'm a "Nazi." I never met anyone of them before though. Ian the Co-Founder is wonderful however. But Lukas strong arms him, so Ian really was not in the picture much.

So overall, The skis break. The owner sucks. Don't waste your money.

I was tagged in the thread. I have the most Real Life Experience out of anyone for their product. It's not a shitty opinion. It's a shitty ski and company.

errm actually I would say that I myself have the most experience, as I rode my pairs for a whole season not 4 days?Lmao. skis are decent. Def not the best, but for 450 what do you expect, they are better than line,k2 faction, dynastar, armada,generic skis etc... prob not as good as skis in the 8 to 900 dollar range, ie: iclantic, fatypus.

there was definitely some conflicting things said to some people(including myself) , and certain things seemed to not be followed through, which led me to guess they would close before they officially announced it.
