Miracle Cures?

Okay so I have had this canker sore on the inside of my lower lip. It sucks so bad, I have not been able to use ketchup, salt, drink orange juice, or use salad dressings. When ever I laugh, it feels as if some one is jabbing a knife through my lip. Therefore, I get all pissed at the person making me laugh.
I get them probably once or twice a month, but never this bad. Does anyone know any good cures or remedies? I've checked out what information I can find, but I would kind of like to know if anyone has a miracle cure. Or knows for sure what works.
 
get em all the time

swish warm salt water around in your mouf for a little while and spit it out, do this a couple times a day
 
I hear brandy is a remedy for pretty much everything. I work at a liquor store and people are always coming in looking for brandy, and they have to explain to me what illness they plan to cure with it, besides their alcoholism.
 
AN EXCUSE TO DRINK!!!!
i tried that salt one earlier, it just felt like a mofo, but after a while the pain calmed...
