Presure may mess with that at temps close to freezing like 27-37....but -12 is insanly cold. Pressure shifts couldn't have rain not freeze at such a low temp.

better to burn out...

dude its called an Inversion where the top layer is warm and balmy and the bottom layer is real cold; the hot air on top wont let the cold air on the bottom escape. yeah i've heard stories of where its -10 at the bottom and + 10 at the mountain.

Yeah, we rock the inversion here in Utah. it was like foggy and about 20 in the valley. But up on the mountain it was probably 30+ and bluebird.

ok, the news said the air had 3 layers, up high was way cold, then in the middle was really warm, then right above the Earth was really cold. So it would freeze when it hit the Earth.
