Park rangers are all deputized sheriffs, so if you break the law, they can arrest you. I am 18, but it's an mip just the same.

that happened to me last year when my friends and i were camping up near snoqualmie. luckly i was in the bathroom when the ranger came and i came out and saw him. so i just kinda stayed in the woods until he left. nobody got hand cuffed though. and their parents didn't get called either everybody just got like $100 fines and the rangers poored out all the booz

i went skiing this winter in upper peninsula michigan with some friends. we are from minnesota and we rented a cabin for like a week and we just got done skiign and went back to the cabin and we tore into a case of beer and some vodca then we lit up the peace pipe and got the great idea to drive into this town and buy some porno movies so i said i would drive and we started going and i had taken my contacts out already so i couldnt see very well and it was snowy then some cop started following me for like 2 miles then he pulled me over cause he said my muffler was too loud and then he asked if i had been drinking and i said no. then he went back to his car and came back up and said are you sure you havent had anything to drink and i was loike im just gonna come clean becauase i did have a shot of vodca( and a couple of beers and a screwdriver). he was like i thought i could smell it. then he said well since your were strait with me i wont give you the underage drinking and driving i'll just give you mip but he still had to arrest me and my friend had to bail me out of jail then we got our porn and went back to the cabin and got drunk as shit....

 
ouch that sucks, you should have just camped at the gorge. passes were only like $20, and it sure as hell beats the fines with an mip and dealing with your record. oh well

you dont get arrested for mip's unless you act like a jackass. the best way to deal with cops is just take responsibility for what you did. they are a lot more understanding in these cases. for instance, if you are in a fight and the cops come, just say the other guy was being an ass about stuff
