MINNESOTA HELP

For fucks sake, it takes ABOUT and hour to get to troll from minneapolis (right by the U). The exit for troll off of 35 in north branch is 110 miles from duluth. DONE

I've driven to duluth a million times, its about 2h15 2-30 hauling ass with not traffic.

Back to something that matters....

How is elm looking lately?

i wouldnt get aftons college pass, there are so many restrictions to it that you can only use it certain nights, and after a certain time

lol fuck that hill. i wrecked my hip on that stupid propane tank tube. and their big park? no wonder no one hits it... the lips suck so much...

Haha, true the pro-pain (aha see what I did) sucks. Along with there whole park. Most of their "lips" can be dealt with but god damn the mailbox is just awful.

Powder Ridge's worst days > other park's best days

In all seriousness, Powder Ridge & Troll are the only places I've been to in the area that correctly set up good handrails. (some parks are improving)

If you want to lap sick, well-set-up rails get out to Powder Ridge. If you like "ride-on" flat boxes, any other park will do.

Afton ahs had some okay handrail setups in the past. unfortunately this year its rails sticking up four inches above the lip :/

I just went last saturday and I loved their rail parks (and all for that matter). The one set up right by the hill coming in is awesome, the 40 and the down mailbox were sooo fun. also, that drop rail was great. Maybe it's because I'm from a shitty hill (welch), but I love Afton, def getting a pass next year.

i hated afton this year, i could never get both jumps at once. and honestly it takes way to long to take one park lap.

wat. i had to scrub tons of speed or I would take both of them way too deep. wax your bases maybe?

yah i waxed both of them, i make the first one then i cant make it over the next knuckle, that being said it was fun to nosebutter.

afton sucks and will always suck until they

A. get a towrope so i can take more than one lap every three minutes for a run as short (possibly shorter) than hyland.

or

B. Make a park that goes from the top of the hill to the bottom of the hill.

Yeah Afton was kinda whack last year. I couldn't hit both jumps, either. I'd knuckle the first one like everytime, and then barely make the second one. It doesn't help that I only weight 130 lbs but still.

Hyland is the shit, and Powder Ridge is pretty close too.

Welch is fun to mess around in and practice rail tricks. Everything is flat there.

I've never been to Kato, but I've heard it's nothing special.

I'm serious. I grew up skiing Welch, then moved out West & am now back living in Rochester... I skied Welch all last season & got progressively more angry the more I'd ski there. Coffee Mill has comparable free ride terrain, plus a rope-tow park that is a) not on the fucking bunny hill, and b) not as static as Welch's. Plus the people there are way easier going.

I'm buying a pass there this year, you should too if you're in Rochester. It's even a shorter drive.
